These new Packer fans in this thread make me scratch my head... LOL at Brady being overrated. Hopefully you don't go full retard with it like doyoulift.

I've been around for a while. Longer than most Packers fans in this thread, I'm sure.

And Brady being largely a system quarterback isn't very controversial. I think he's obviously a sure-fire Hall of Famer, but I think he has also benefited from playing under the greatest coach of our lifetime. So I don't think he's a top five quarterback of all-time. I would put him in the 7-10 range. Matt Cassel's production during his absence serves as an example of this stance.

Matt Cassel's best season wasn't even as a Patriot. Not to mention anyone could have played well with that offense..... Or the fact Brady only threw 25+ more TDs and over 1,000 more yards than Cassel did the year previous with that team. Its moronic to say a guy that has played in like 5 different styles of offense and has revolutionized the game with the offensive style twice is overrated. Hes gonna finish with 400+ TDs and 50,000+ yards..... Super overrated bro.

Id confidently say I hate Tom Brady more than anyone here and Id also confidently tell you youre mildly retarded if you think he is overrated. He does it all and has done it all.

If ever there was a player that can never be counted out until the clock his 0 it is Tom Brady.

I'm not sure what you're getting your panties all twisted for. I'm just saying he's not the greatest to ever play. I don't think he has a rational claim to that title. I think Billy B is the best thing since Vince Lombardi and that Tom gets more than his fair share of the credit pie. Also, LOL @ "revolutionized the game with the offensive style" and played in 5 different styles of offense. If ANYONE in this league can say that, it's Peyton Manning. You really went for the hyperbole.

Also, for shit and grins:

327 516 63.4 3,693 7.2 21 11
371 565 65.7 4,398 7.8 28 13

Comparable, I think.

Also, in fairness, I think the other top quarterbacks of this time can be criticized as well. Rodgers had the opportunity to sit out and learn from one of the best players of all times, Manning has been blessed with just a stupid amount of talented offensive weapons over the course of his career. Actually, now that I think of it. Drew Brees really, up to this point, has been kind of overlooked when it comes to current passers and their place in history.

The only people that think he is overrated are terrorists, an old D bag bills fan, a retard that lifts and people who have no fucking clue as to what they're talking about.

I don't think he's a top five quarterback of all-time. I think Johnny U, Otto Graham, and Peyton Manning are undeniably in front of him. I would also rank Montana, Marino, Favre, and Baugh ahead of his as well. In that order most likely. I feel like a lot of fans don't think Tom deserves to be seen as a top 3 quarterback.

But, alas, I must be mildly retarded.

Some idiot before last season was calling Brees overrated. I swear people put blinders on for players they dont like.

Do you ever provide reason for your arguments?

I think Dan Marino is a cheesy prick. I still think he deserves more historical credit than he's given.

I dont have an issue with a top 5 ATG ranking Im only commenting on calling him overrated. How do you "undeniably" have Peyton over him though?

You posted the season after when Brady was coming off of the ACL.... Why don't you post the stat lines of the year before he went down.

4,800 yards, 50 TDs 8 INTs 69% completion percentage. Arguably the single best season that a QB has ever had.

Saying he is "massively overrated" is a little different than saying well I don't think hes top 3... Which, its pretty obvious, he clearly is. Hes won 19 playoff games, winning his first what 10? 3 Super bowls, 2 SB MVPs and 2 season MVPs.

Well, I have him in the 7-10 range. So, if people think he's top 3, that would be by definition overrating him in my eyes.

And, I guess it's a matter of metrics when it comes to Brady and Peyton. There's obviously a huge difference between their respective careers during the regular season and playoffs. I guess I was using "undeniably" a bit literally, as there is room for debate depending on your criteria.

But, when I think of how one should critique quarterbacks, I think "who would I want to build my otherwise-shitty franchise around?" I think Peyton can make a bad team into a good one in his prime--- and he did. I think Johnny Unitas could do the same. Brady, though? Brady on a team with a shit defense and a shit offense with a shit coach might not do so hot. This year was the closest we've seen yet.

Lol I remember that shit. One of the dumbest statements I've ever seen on here

What happened to Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl would never happen to Tom Brady in a million years.

Already did. But calling Brady massively overrated is retarded. I just wanted to let you know what you sound like.

Meh, you're consistently a shit poster. I can stomach not having your approval for the time being. I think saying Tom is "clearly" top 3 is stupid.

Agreed.
