NFL Discussion v53: Waiting for the Draft

They're the best team in that division but like the 5 or 6 team in the NFC.

It doesn't help that Reed missed like 4 games at the end of last season, because of a concussion that nobody actually saw. My theory is that they held him out because they were intentionally tanking the team, but still, you've gotta go by what actually happened. Maybe he's got a glass jaw? Who knows

and Garcon is a "tough physical receiver" until the game gets too tough and physical. He's not carrying a wr corps

You wanna talk about "XYZ qb has no weapons"? Look at the Redcans. People bitched about the qb play while all he had for receivers were....

Garcon
Reed for a bit
the other tomato can TE that literally did nothing
Leonard Cankerson
137 year old Cantana Moss

Yeah, some bomb rb's in Morris and Helu, but outside of that, the pickings get slim

ohh and the defense is awful

All of that said, I believe Shanacan tanked that team, and they'll probably be far better without him. But let's be honest, that team isn't too good. Yeah, RG3 and Morris set the league on fire one season, but after that I haven't seen much

i agree with most of this except Garcon. he led the league in receptions last year. guy is a legit #1.

Seahawks brass are saying that Jermichael Finley is "months away" from being cleared and ready for a contract.

Doesn't look good for J-Mike. Can't say I blame the team and/or the league for being apprehensive. With the way he plays and his me-first attitude, he could be a giant lawsuit just waiting to happen.

Can any Bucs fan, or anyone for that matter, tell me their thoughts on Jeremy Zuttah?

Ravens trying to piece together an O-Line since they didn't bother having one last year. I'd like to see some draft picks go in that direction as well.

Well, anyone would be an upgrade over Gradkowski.

He was awful last year. I still actually hope we hang on to him. He's also incredibly young and linemen often have long careers that see them improve for a number of years before they decline. I just know if we just toss him, he'll be a top center in a few years.

Of course, needing Yanda to run the line (and even signal him when it's time to hike the ball) isn't a great sign, but he's cheap and I'd like to see him develop from the bench.

We do not need to hold onto him, by far the worst player on the team. He shouldn't be on the practice squad much less wasting a roster spot. We would be better off drafting a center with a compensatory pick.

Supposedly every team is trying to trade back. Good draft for the niners to move up

I just don't think that's who he'll be down the line. But I certainly won't be upset if he leaves. It's not a real loss, I just hate when guys get rushed into a position they don't belong in yet. It was unfair to have him playing last year. Won't be surprised if he's a lot better in a few years. We still absolutely need a better starter this season.

Ravens should trade up and grab a top free safety or tackle. If that many teams are that desperate to move back, they might not have to give up much.

I can't see that happening, we are short on picks. Ozzie loves picks and would trade back well before he would trade up, especially in this draft situation.

I agree that our biggest needs are OT and FS, we are in a good spot and someone will fall to us, whether it is Haha, Pryor, Martin, or maybe a offensive safety net in Evans or Ebron.

I wonder if Desean will play with a chip on his shoulder or flop like a cry baby bitch when the Eagles release/trade him after playing the best season of his career.

I know we never like to trade up, but with trading back being in such high demand, we might be able to make it work. How short are we on picks? I thought we already had a couple compensatories coming (though I've completely forgotten who for).

Also, as well as Ozzie does with undrafted FAs, I'm not really worried about the back end of the draft.

I think we have 1-3 and 6, so four picks. We may get compensatory picks for Kruger, Ellerbe and Williams...not sure if they're official yet.

Pryor is going to ask to be released.

Baltimore is most likely looking at 4 compensatory picks. In the 4th-5th round range probably.

He will always bitch and cry no matter what
