Not sure how I feel about this.

At first I didnt like it but then I read that they can release him after the first year. Both he and Ware signed for 3/30, but Peppers is 7.5 million guaranteed, compared to 20 for Ware.

So now I dont mind the move, if hes good then thats awesome, but if doesnt play well they can dump him after the season. Might as well take a shot to see if hes got anything left. Other than Daniels they dont really have a guy on the line who can rush the passer well.

Im going to hang myself in Reggies office if they sign Mark fucking Sanchez.

My friends and I have had a good laugh at the expense of the Raiders.

Mark Sanchez would be more than icing on the cake. It would be like putting another cake on the cake.

God I hope he goes to Oakland.

Canthers are suffering cuz of some backloaded contracts they're dealing with now. Can't afford to do shit.

What about losing Wilfork tho?

In all honesty, Wilfork had fallen off a little in the last two years. I think he can still plug that middle and command a double team some of the time but at 32(?), probably about 350 lbs and coming off a popped achilles, that 11+ million cap hit wasn't even remotely worth it.

I think they can find a pretty adequate replacement at even less than half the price. Big hog linemen aren't actually all that rare in this day and age. BJ Raji got one year at 4 million.

If Vince really thinks he's gonna go out there and get more than 4 million a year, then let him - he should get his money if he can. I think in the end for the Patriots though, changing the way they allocate their money is really a good thing. They shouldn't have so much of their cap invested in a nose tackle and also in their guards. Hopefully they can also restructure Dan Connolly.

With Vince's money off the books though, they're right back around 18 million or so under the cap.

Huh, so Julius Peppers

That works, I'm down. I would've far rathered Ware, but Ware's contract was huuuge compared to this. Cool

Panthers sign former Saints safety Roman Harper.

They release Munnerlyn, 25, and Mitchell, 26, and signed an old fossil in Harper. Are the Raiders and Panthers sharing Free Agency tips?

If the Raiders have had the worst offseaon in the league, the Canthers have to be near #2

Mitchell was pretty bad before this season, and wasn't he the guy taking all the dumb flags in the playoff game vs the Niners? I wouldn't pay him either after 1 decent season on a powerhouse defense.

Just look at Harpers and Mitchell's numbers in 2013. Mitchell had the overall better numbers and even played a 15 games to Harpers 9. I don't know it just seems like a bad move by the Panthers.

Their secondary was screwy. Like, it was really helped by their beastly line. Still I dunno how good of an idea releasing them was...

Hope Tate has some juice left after all his injuries.

They didn't release either one of those players, they both signed elsewhere for more money than the Panthers could pay them due to their cap situation.

But yea, the Raiders and Panthers are competing at this point for the worst FA period.

Man, Pats having a nice off season. I'm hopeful for Cleveland too! But those hopes are still small. 😎

They'll fuck it up and draft Manziel..... I hope they get Bortles though.
