I think it's a race to 40. I don't think the Falcons have to play perfect to win, but they can't give away points through turnovers or wasted possessions. Pats will score a lot in this game.
Agree with all of this. It should be really good.I think ppl are insinuating Atlanta has to be perfect because the Pats are the far more balanced team and their defense and Atlanta's lack of will make up the discrepancy between their offenses.
The "Best offense vs the best defense" narrative is a phony one. Really its the 2 best offenses in football. You've got to factor in dome play and the 4 games the Pats have gone without Brady when you look at the offensive stats (obviously Atlanta is still the better unit, but the Pats are not that far behind). The X factor imo is the Pats D and the big game experience the Pats have vs the lack of experience Atlanta has in the Super Bowl. Oh and the greatest QB/Head coach duo in NFL history.
Atlanta O > Pats O > Pats D >>> Atlanta's D.
Say what you want about Pats fans and everyone in here overlooking Atlanta, but Belichick will not overlook them.
Yeah, fact is you're going to put an offensive minded coach into a scenario where he has almost no weapons. They might pick up some pieces this offseason, but that QB job is going to be a problem for a while. Kaep is no Matt Ryan, ad I'd bet Julio put up more yards than their entire WR corp. Maybe Lynch has a real eye for talent and can draft some blue-chippers, but there's nothing to really back that up yet. I guess he's taking a QB at #2 though? If I were the Browns I'd make a lot of noise about drafting a QB, even though I'm going to take Garrett.I think theyre going to be a dumpster fire.
A good coach is a good coach regardless, on that I'll agree. But I do think a lot of coaches are bad partially because they lean too far one way or the other. For example, Rex Ryan. His defensive credentials have taken a beating lately, but I can't remember a team where his offense was anything beyond passable. The main appeal of a guy like Shanny is that "maybe he'll get this offense going." Which I think is a personnel problem as much as anything. Their defense too, for that matter. They need like 10 more draft picks.Offensive and defensive minded blah blah is nonsense imo. Thats what coordinators and position specific coaches are for.
Good time so far. I'm home now again but have a pass for Media Day tonight. Not sure if I care enough to go. I'm tired as shit. We spent most of the day chilling with LT (Chargers ). I'm trying to to recharge for the parties tonightWish I was joining you my brethren. Be safe out there

Just kidding. Sounds like a lot of fun. Might need a new liver by Sunday night, though.
