I think I mixed up posts then. My bad

Iit's too early to call but assuming his career just ends, behind elway but ahead of marino. Elway was carrying the team to owls for a decade plus then got td.

My guess is I think he will retire by 36, and he's got ,1 or more 2 more owls to win, he would supplant Montana if he slightly declines then retires like I think he will. His ankles I think will end his career. He hates raping them like you'll see Brady or now jaxton hates do in games. Qbs who scramble generally need to do it or they are done quickly

How can you have Elway ahead of Marino?

So the deal "here" is only talk today/right now in this thread, ok got it.

I missed the 2025 NFL only.

I'm not trying be a dick it feels like you are trolling. Because he carried his team for a decade to Superbowl after Superbowl then got td and started winning them. I don't just look at Stats or owls. Elway off the field was a leader, he did a lot of stuff that's not in stat books. Brady had his way of keeping the team tight and forcing everyone to get better, elway was the same way.

It's pretty subjective I could see why someone would rank Marino over elway. I think the MVP turned into a joke really because of "stat autism" and QBs just were winning it even when they didn't deserve it, so the MVPs argument doesn't really work post 1999. Marino probably would have thrown for 5000 yards most years so that kind of screws up that. Careers used to be shorter.

Hence it's a mix of stats, context, clutch time, and achievements

I talked about putting Mhommes ahead of Montana you came to me disagreeing, how can I be trolling?

I always like to talk with those with some depth of knowledge, obviously that would be you. You know who those old timers were, that's cool.

I was going to debate Marino over Elways but, do get the feeing this particular forum frowns on history. more about todays NFL not back in the day/once upon a time NFL

So will wrap this up with, both were great.

All good. I think pey pey gets overrated at times. He really couldn't run left and accurately throw the ball for half his career. The best pure QB play I've ever seen like their peak was either Warner or Montana.
Do you think mcnabb ever gets in the Hof?

Right or wrong when it comes to QB's it really is all about winning the big one and/or your stats/numbers. McNabb never won the big one and his stats/numbers aren't all that, so.....nope~

How much do you put in Warner having Faulk. Bruce and Holt?

Doing what I said I wouldn't do, what a wimp.

Agreed
I think early on Warner needed them but created such a skill set by Arizona he was a machine and fitz helped but Warner had his accuracy, release and processing speed so fast he would have been fine. I think the biggest issue with QBs right now is in general some are just kind of dull. They'll have to be puppeted for awhile. Good QBs ages 31-36 are oddly rare right now.

the chiefs getting the friendly rigged against the lions whom Subscance thinks gets jobbed by the refs every week is like the perfect storm.

We got more NFL Apology banners than anyone in the league. The one from that Cowboys game two years ago is framed.

I just don't get how the refs can overturn a TD on a pre-snap penalty they didn't call initially, throwing a flag almost a minute after the TD. The penalty itself isn't reviewable because the TD was called on the field by the lead judge. Idiot clown car refs.
