How many times are we going to hear Bell's name though if the Steelers start losing?
tempted to turn it into a drinking game because I have the day off tomorrow but I don’t wanna die.

If playoffs are your standard to judge QBs then there are maybe 5 good QBs in the league.

Especially if were considering the amount of time hes been a starter.
They aren’t my standard but Cousins may have numbers but the Skins didn’t really have these crazy awesome regular season records either.

I know it’s not all on him, case in my the Packers defense fucking Rodgers at every turn but still

You think the only option to keep Jimmy was to give him that massive of a contract?

I do not. Felt like that has been hilariously obvious throughout this discussion and when they signed him.
If it's so obvious give the option, jesus dude. Conversation is over if you provide that, 30 posts later still waiting for these "obvious" options.

The options are something less and shorter, clearly.

Chiefs interested in earl Thomas

Jets interested in Bell

So youre shitting on the guy with no basis you even agree with? Ill assume its because hes on the Vikings now and you feel the need to. Respect.

So options that only exist in fantasy land / your head? Gotcha.

Because a QB coming off a hot stretch that was a UFA unless tagged is going to settle for less.

Probably could’ve thrown in a few washed out pornstars and saved a few million.

Did you sit in on the negotiations to know that it wasnt an option?

I certainly doubt someone playing a whopping 5 fucking games would turn down a big, short contract, which would allow him to gain an even larger/longer contract in the near future.

Dont know why Im even bothering continuing this with SF’s financial advisor who thought the McKinnon deal was good.

Chiefs could really use ET. Would be a nasty pick up for them.
Good move for them. The offense may be terrifying but I dont know where it goes on the Yoffs (with Reid...) unless they get some serious help.

Especially when you consider the type of other offenses that theyll see in the Yoffs.

Are peters and Talib both out? Thought I heard on radio but didn’t catch it all

You mean like him reportedly turning down 4 years 17-18M from the Patriots before he even played for the 49ers? Or the fact that the short large contract he could have gotten by rejecting the 49ers contracts was still in play, it's called the franchise tag.

He doesn't get a deal he likes -> He rejects the offers and gets tagged. He makes 24M in 2018 and if all goes the same gets hurt. The niners are going to pay him then? Or the sample size isn't any bigger so you tag him again. He makes 30M or whatever it is in 2019. In 2020 he is a UFA again, no way you can tag him a 3rd time. If he really is worth the contract he has all the leverage to bend you over and QB contracts have climbed another 20%.

Signing him early -> You pay him more over the first two years vs tagging him -> 2020 offseason you can control him the next 3 years below market value for QBs or cut him without any dead money. That 74M guarantee you keep throwing out is for injury only, but I'm sure you already knew that.
