Well I genuinely wasn't aware of how that rule works, hence my confusion

If that's the actual rule it seems pretty illogical. It'd be like calling you in bounds if your left foot were out of bounds but your right was in bounds

You haven't CROSSED the line of scrimmage if your foot is still on the other side .

I also think the entire football should have to CROSS the goal line not just the tip that freaking bugs me
