It's a lot more nuanced than that because they have a lot of money tied up in guys that aren't difference makers (Jaire, Gary and Kenny Clark). I'm willing to bet Gute cuts Jaire and drafts a corner high and another in the third round. Van Ness and Gary are going to be expected to play better next year and neither will. I can see both Clark and Gary restructuring their contract, but that's not gonna make them play better, lol.

They have money tied up in a mediocre QB, thats the problem. The biggest issue is their pass rush is one dimensional, but they can draft LB/EDGE and be fine. You don't need elite corners when you have good LB/Fronts
