It's a lot more nuanced than that because they have a lot of money tied up in guys that aren't difference makers (Jaire, Gary and Kenny Clark). I'm willing to bet Gute cuts Jaire and drafts a corner high and another in the third round. Van Ness and Gary are going to be expected to play better next year and neither will. I can see both Clark and Gary restructuring their contract, but that's not gonna make them play better, lol.

They can add 2-3 McKinney level deals this offseason, more with Jaire cut (+7m) and restructures (would not do the latter, I like a relatively clean cap situation).
