I’m curious if he was on market for the contract he has with the pats and willing to sign with a number of teams, or if it was a “just patriots” type of negotiation. Even as a backup, or a locker room guy you’d think he’d be worth the 1.05 million. I just can’t picture with all these opt outs no one else was willing to sign him for a min contract.

Could have been a smart play by Can as well. I mean, he goes to a shitty QB needy team, how likely is it he does well and gets a big contract and a starting gig next year? Or you go to a genius team with a dominant defense where you can ball out and get paid next year.

So some decent news on Lock, confirmed ACL tear for Sutton.

I still have no idea if Lock is the guy but at least they’ll get some more evaluations on him. Jeudy looks good, Fant is a mismatch for most teams, and Hamler showed some spark. Lindsay will come back at some point as well.

He’ll still have playmakers so no excuses.
