This doesn’t ever not get me.

I could see the Chargers wanting Brady to boost ticket sales but he's obviously declined over the last couple seasons. Also paying 30 million for a 43 year old QB who's one bad hit away from being finished seems risky.

How do cowboys fans feel about losing Byron Jones ? Kid always seemed like a stud to me, would he been my #2 priority to sign (not the biggest Dak fan but QB > everything )
They wasted the first half of his rookie contract putting him at safety but the moment he went back to cornerback he made 2nd team all-pro in 2018 then was ranked as a top 15 corner for 2019.

He's a stud. Zero locker-room drama, insane IQ, and has played 5 years without a single injury.

Alot of cowgirl fans whine that he shouldn't get top dollar because "he never gets interceptions" but with the league being so pass happy having even just a solid and reliable #1 coverage corner is not only hard to find but is good value. The irony is they whine about Byron yet the last 15 years has been them getting nothing but bust in terms of secondary players (they payed Ken Hamlin and Brandon Carr a ton of money and they did nothing, they moved up in the draft to get Claiborne and he was a bust). They get the best secondary player they've had in the last 15 years (Byron) and yet all the fans do is give excuses no to keep him

Cowgirls are screwed because they can't afford to keep him but they literally have no alternatives. There other 3 corners (Chido, Lewis, and Brown) struggle enough to cover #2 and #3 wide receivers as is.

The narrative for 2019 was "Kris Richard is gonna coach these DB's to a high level so we can let Byron walk in free agency with no worries" and that never happened. The 3 DB's in question are still average at best starters and Kris Richard was fired

Raiders planning to offer Brady 2 year 60 mil possibly guaranteed

I don’t believe this shit about Brady at all. He was garbage last year and is only going to get worse.

Carr plays like a scared bitch but he’s not the problem. Get him a couple decent wideouts and see how he responds.

I’ve seen 5 or 6 different qbs linked to the raiders and none of them are better than Carr, especially Brady.

Imagine paying a coach $100m and a 43 year old QB $60m. It’s amazing that guy still has any money.

Starting in week 2, Brady had the worst receiving corp in the NFL last year. Nobody would look good throwing to that motley crew.

He can read a defense better than almost anyone, including almost all the OCs and HCs in the league. Most QBs and OCs study his footwork in the pocket. It was never about his athleticism. Put him on a team with a decent O-line and receivers and you will see what he can do.

Interesting, thought the praise from NE fans was always that Brady could get it done with anyone.

This is awesome and I hope it goes through. 5th year option is absolutely bullshit.

That’s dope. I fucking hate the fifth year option.

Should change the tag too. Make it available for one year and after that they hit UFA.

The players have hurt themselves with many of their CBA demands. This sounds great for a few top players but it hurts most players. It shifts the money to a few players but forces others out of the league because to balance out the salary cap, teams have to fill positions with players on rookie deals who get paid less.

Abolish the tag imo. It invites so much drama and ill will that no one wants.
