@JackWhite

If anyone expected that this was NOT about 2026 cap space, this basically confirms that the Jaire stuff was looking ahead to their tough 2026 cap situation. Jaire did them a solid agreeing to it, as well. In short, Jaire and the Packers reworked the deal before the release, allowing them to take on the entire dead cap hit of the contract in 2025.

Gute's best attribute is his salary cap moves, IMO. I guess I've gotta give Russ Ball his due as well.

I think he's a little underestimated, but I don't love every move of course. His first round track record isn't great, the Gary, Alexander, Bakh and Clark deals backfired so far, not all his fault, but it's not ideal when the biggest earners play average/just above average (Clark, Gary) or never play at all (Bakh, Jaire). Hoping for the best with Gary and Clark, but those deals stink right now.

Interesting pick up with RJ Harvey
I think it makes sense. RJ Harvey has pass catching chops and outside breakaway ability. Dobbins after his injuries is more a between the tackles thumper now

Man, Rodgers looks so old in that picture of him in camp, lol.

I really hope he doesn't go out like Favre or Steve Young; taking a bad sack and getting badly concussed.
Only reason why I really wanted to keep Fields over signing him. Also the fact that the OL isn’t that much of an improvement over the Jets’. A soon to be 42 year old playing behind another bad offensive line is a recipe for disaster.

I dont think Dobbins was anything except a thumper. I assumed Harvey was their 3 down back.
