This has always been a question to myself. At what point do you have to let someone get on with their lives if they have already served their time and punishment for a crime. As a society, it seems like we all view rehabilitation on a sliding scale as it pertains to our personal belief systems.Hes gotten quite a bit of support from various old teammates. I was a big fan of Ruggs at the time but those stories of screams from the fiery wreckage because of his actions are terrible. I hope he doesn't get a chance, but wouldn't shock me if he did.
Off topic a bit but Derek Carr that season had to put up with some shit, he was out there every few weeks doing damage control. That team was solid too.
In the case of Ruggs, if it was my family member, I’d be all for him working so I can smack him with that YUGE civil suit to get the family taken care of. It’s also not like the kid is some 3 felony strikes hardened criminal. (At least I hope he’s not.)
