Spent a long time looking at this lol I was like "Why is this funny"

Then finally seen 'em lol

Deandre Hopkins holding out. Have fun paying those three huge contracts, Houston.

Hopkins will get paid so they will have to pull the trigger, or watch him walk away.

They'll cave since he's already 60% through his rookie deal.

Ask Okung how well that worked out for him.

Ask Troy Vincent how it worked out for him? When he was coming out of college, agents were trying to get him to hire them and he said something to the effect that the University of Wisconsin gave him a good education and he negotiated his own contracts.

Ask Jim Ringo how the agent worked out for him? He sent an agent to negotiate his contract with Vince Lombardi in 1964. Lombardi told the agent he had to make a phone call first then he never called the agent into his office. The guy finally asked to see him again. Lombardi asked what he wanted. The agent again told him that he was there to negotiate Ringo's contract. Lombardi told him he would have to contact the Philadelphia Eagles because he traded Ringo's rights to them. Then Lombardi drafted Ken Bowman and the Packers went on to win three championships in a row.

Lol, if you think that players negotiating on their own behalf is going to end well in most cases you're delusional.

Going back to the 60s to provide an example is all I need to know.

Quick search

J.T. O'Sullivan

Lions, Packers, Vikings, Bears

It figures, the Packers got him as a throw in with the 2nd round pick for Mike McKenzie. The other 3 teams in the division have Packer envy and often pick up Packer players.

Vikings roast

"Vikings fans trying to up vote In this thread"

"
Blair Walsh is so bad under pressure, he handles the heat even worse than Korey Stringer."

How much do you suppose he got paid to miss that?

Lombardi figured if you weren't man enough to deal face to face, you weren't man enough to be on his team.

This league is so incredibly different between those eras that they honestly can't even be compared.

I think it would be awesome if players could cut out the middle man but the millions they make by having a professional do their negating more than makes up for it.

The only thing he will be walking away from is his career. Dude is under contract, he ain't going anywhere else

I just meant he is a beast. the guy getting Pissed over Not getting an extension. Especially a player of his caliber isn't worth it.
