If everyone takes your stance there is nothing preventing other companies refusing to hire this guy. Instead of making it a teachable moment he's just fucked because he was an asshole at a football game. Mind you, nobody agrees with what he did, but in reality it's not a big deal and you're a bigger bitch than anyone with the "free from consequences" shit. Nobody said he shouldn't be banned from the games or have action taken against him. Taking away someones livelihood is not the answer for minor disputes.
