I have nothing against Fitch, but that was fun to watch imo. But i am a fan of Maia so i'm a little biased.:icon_lol:

Yeah, it's probably the best choice, since Hendricks is next in line after Diaz if he wins at UFC 158.

That being said, it would be a bit weird if Rory beats Condit AND Maia, since he doesn't want to fight GSP.

I know a lot of people have a new found love for Maia, but I really don't look forward to seeing him fight. If he can't submit you, he'll just control you till the end of the fight. The Fitch fight was one of the most boring fights I've ever seen. Impressive showing by Maia, but bored me to tears. He didn't even try to do anything, just got back control and held on it till the rest of the round.

i do agree with you to an extent. that fitch fight wasn't anything i thought it should have been. i was dissapointed too.

Nah, but he could have improved his position, try to mount him, go for some subs, maybe a little ground and pound, not just hold onto his back.

If you have back control with both hooks its imbossible to improve your position. Id take back control over mount any day. atleast in straight bjj.

I agree, i think Maia can beat anyone in the top 10. Fitch was a huge test, and he passed with flying colors.

I totally agree. It was nice to see Fitch get a little of his own medicine, and Maia finish what BJ started.

Maia gives jiu-jitsu guys like me hope for the UFC. I'd like to see him face winner of Condit/Rory, and I can see him submitting either of them.

I agree, Kos usually has decent top control. And i think the striking would be pretty even. Kos is less diverse with his strikes imo, but has more power.

Condit/Rory, or more likely, just Rory. Hendricks will most likely fight GSP, then it might go:

Condit v Maia
Rory v Diaz

Just as his manager, I believe in June or July, fight with Tarec Saffiedine (Strikeforce champion) makes sense, after would catch the winner Rory / Condit or even Kos / Lawler. This would place it near the TS!

I'm still not convinced of his striking defense at this point, so I'd hate to see him get lit up by condit or rory just as he's gaining momentum.
I'd prefer Kos at this point.
