There's always more to the story, but that's more of a side quest than a main mission in the story. The bottom line is that American citizens only got $2k, even less than they were promised, while illegals are getting more than $15k in some cases. Personally, I think they should get nothing. That's the price they pay for coming in illegally. They should consider themselves lucky they haven't been deported yet. At a bare minimum, they should not get MORE than American citizens. That's absolutely ridiculous. It makes our country look like a joke.

Are you really asserting that the money they are receiving is for the same purpose as the stimulus checks everyone else is getting and that everyone in the same position as these people but is not an immigrant is not getting the same--I bet a nickel if I waste a bunch of time reading up on this that all sorts of contextual information has been omitted from this whine-fest. This is fucking ridiculous. American citizens are getting screwed and didn't even get the $2k checks that Democrats ran on in battleground states like Georgia. They got a $600 check and then a $1400 check instead of a separate $2k check like promised. But illegal immigrants can get over $15k in some cases. Completely ridiculous. It's like Democrats want to lose. PS - It's possible in some cases that American citizens got an amount that equaled or exceeded the maximum amount given to illegal immigrants, via unemployment payments, stimulus checks, etc.

I think there is a bit of nuance here to consider. The restaurant, bar and hospitalities industries have been hit pretty hard by the pandemic. The majority of people who lost their jobs due to covid qualified for unemployment benefits; undocumented aliens did not. For at least the first 6 months of the pandemic, unemployment was paying $600 a week in NY.

Undocumented workers are a big part of the support staff in restaurants bars and hospitality industries. This is a one time payment where many people have collected far more than that since march. While the stimulus checks were for everyone, regardless of current work situation, unemployment checks were not, leaving undocumented workers financially stranded with no way to support their families despite only being out of full-time work due to the pandemic. Undocumented workers didn't even qualify for any of the stimulus payments.

It would be a huge financial blow and disrupt the NYC economy if all undocumented workers became homeless at once.

They can go home and stop breaking our laws.

One of his nieces posts on r/EARONS quite regularly and had mentioned how Deangelo became more and more paranoid over DNA technology evolving, including genealogy websites. I love this. Nothing drives my need to see unsolved murders solved than the idea that somebody could commit such gruesome acts and go on to live a comfortable life, caring nothing for the damage they left behind. I hope Deangelo agonized over it for years until he was arrested.

With genetic genealogy, I picture anybody who got away with a murder or rape years ago and thought they were free and clear, are now walking around in a perpetual panic. Looking out their blinds. Withdrawing from friends and family. Wondering if today will be the day they are caught. There's murders and rapes from 40-50 years ago being solved now. It's incredible.

Yeah, it is fascinating truly what we can do now with the advancement in DNA technology. There are rape cases like you said being solved from 40 to 50 years ago. As well a decent amount of individuals who are in prison for life or on death row for murder are being exonerated as a result of this. It makes you wonder how many innocent people were put to death when DNA testing for crimes wasn't yet available pre 1986.

James being paranoid about the advancements in DNA technology and testing makes me believe that he was scared about being caught and going to jail. I've read up on a few serial killers who were relieved when they were finally caught. I don't think this was the case with DeAngelo. Out of all of the serial killers that got caught I'd say one of the most stupid was Dennis Rader aka the BTK Killer. Just like James, he stopped killing in early 1991 and lived out his life with his family in Wichita suburbs of Park City in Kansas. Wasn't until 2004 when he started communicating with the media again. Sending them letters and what not. In his letters to police he asked if his writings on floppy disk could be traced or not. Police responded to him by posting an ad in the Wichita Eagle that it was safe for him to continue to communicate with them in that way. In early 2005 he sent a floppy disk to a local news station who handed it off to police. The police were able to find a deleted word document and the metadata on it contained the words Christ Lutheran Church and the document was last edited by "Dennis". A google search turned up Dennis Rader as the head of the Church council. That word document is what done Dennis in and I find that to be hilarious. He admitted after being arrested on February 25th of 2005 that he had major urges to start killing again which is why he began to communicate with the police and the media. As well that he began stalking his next intended victim.

I've never had trouble with unemployment, it's the same for me every year as far as time and length I file for but this year I'm getting the run around and they're trying to not pay me... A hard working guy who worked all year, but the people sitting at home all year can get extra,not to mention illegals... The working class gets fucked again.
