Continuing the Why isn't there a new Star Trek series on TV???? THE NEXT GENERATION

I have re watched every series and episode of ST, ST:TNG,STS9, Voyager, and Enterprise, over the past year. The show is still great, and stands up still to whats on TV. The next generation is still really popular on TV, and since netflix added all the Star Trek series, they have been some of there most watched content they have ever had.

So why don't they bring back a weekly series??? There have been a bunch of reports of people trying to get it off the ground. So why isn't it happening

So who would win in a footrace. A Vulcan or a Klingon????
 
They tossed around a Captain Worf idea, which I love. But I guess it never came to fruition. The only other new Star Trek, aside from the movies, was going to be a poorly produced webisode thing called Renegades, directed by Tim Russ.
 
Because it's ghey as fuck. Never watched a single Star Wars movie and not planning to.
 
On season 3 of TNG now, this is the season when things start getting good. I marathoner DS9 last year, but it's been a while since did the same with TNG. I have not been able to get through all of voyager and enterprise but I might try again.
 
I'm only a few episodes in on TOS but it's kind of funny how easily they just kill off extra crew members. Someone gets murdered or vaporized and Kirk & Crew don't even flinch.
 
Would love to see what they can do with a limited series on HBO or Netflix. Star Trek has always been for television, I can't get into these new movies.

Data gets abducted by a collector.

That is in season 3, right ?

It's a tradition that carries on through every iteration of Star Trek.

Yeah but it's at the later end of the season. I'm just finished the episode with the romulan defector. One of the earliest episodes written by Ron Moore, and one of my favorite's too.

Season 2 has the awesome measure of a man, but fuck Polaski!

I hated Polaski. She reminds me of everyone's bitter old kindergarten teacher. Of all the old people Riker kicked in the face, I wish she had been one of them.
 
She was just so fucking rude to Data. Kept calling him it. She was that one racist aunt everyone has. So glad crusher came back in season 2.
