I sorta have an observation. The funnier the comedian, the less likely they are to play loud beats and instrumentals in the background during the trailer.

I notice during Amy Schumer trailers, for example, it's all loud music and segmented clips.

They don't do that for a Bill Burr or Dave Chappelle.

They had 50 seconds to sell Sarah's new special and the first 15 was drum beats before she actually started a joke.

I’ve got to tell you, in the hierarchy of bad comedians, she isn’t in the bottom 50%. Have you never seen anybody bomb hard on stage? It can be hard to watch sometimes.
 
If those are the "good" jokes in the trailer then wtf HBO? Though after Chris Rock's special, who did nothing but yell and tell unfunny stories....
It seems if youre a big name it matters not if its 100% on the nose, lame as5 unoriginal sh1t ANYONE could write,cause cash will come.
