Looked like he wasn't rocked and just threw the fight when he gave up, so maybe the ref was annoyed with this. Not a bad stoppage since the blows weren't hard.

Ref should never be in charge of another MMA fight again but I do admit that I found the way the fighter was asking him to stop it while the guy was just in the foetal position then when he does drop some punches like the ref asked him to then the ref aggressively pushes him away to stop it quite funny

i thought this was another raja jackson thread
Im not reading all those pages but based on past Im sure someone is crying early stoppage to that one as well (yeah I know its wrestling)

The ref is supposed to stop it if the fighter isn't intelligently defending themselves. Doesn't matter if they suddenly have a panic attack and decide they don't want to be there or take a dive

Yeah and they usually say "work" to entice some action when they cover up too long, the point being they are still not out or visibly rocked. I am saying here that he wasn't out or even rocked, so the thought process can be let's see how he reacts when he gets actually hit.

It's not a thought process any ref should be having. The guy clearly wasn't fighting back at all. If it's like Smith against Glover for example and he's taking punishment but still at least trying to move and improve his position then it's understandable to let it go a bit but that guy was either unconscious or had very obviously quit.

Nothing wrong with that stoppage, should be the standard

Early stoppages always have that "what if?"

Late stoppages leave no doubt on who won

Can't argue with that logic lmao
