Television Netflix Trainwreck - Woodstock 99

Did anyone go?

All I knew before the doc was watching Korn countless times. Knew nothing about the blatant ripping people off and women being raped, burning the entire place down nightmare.

What a stain it left on the legacy, I really can't believe I knew nothing about the horror till watching the documentary. A Sherbro and I watch pretty much everything doc wise that's in our space so when he told me to watch, I watched.
I thought that the atrocities that went on there were common knowledge - guess not.

Youre no Brian Last, thats for dang sure

So this thread taught me red hot chili peppers is probably some euphemism for underage girls, and they should be called the red hot child predators.

Didn't watch and I'm assuming it has a balanced view, with a bait and switch title, but no. Limp Bizcuit was responsible for performing like Limp Bizcuit, like they do at any Limp Bizcuit show.

Of all the bands, the RHCP's might have purposefully thrown fuel on the fire, while debating and then deciding to perform Jimmy Hendrix's "Fire", while shit was burning down.

While some bad stuff did go down, I think it's been overblown a bit. I'm not gonna pretend that a lot of this shit doesn't go down at any festival with hundreds of thousands of people. This just had a bigger spotlight than most.

Women were raped and people died during Woodstock 1969 but everyone works themselves into a shoot over Woodstock 99 for some reason.
Limp Bizkit played early Saturday evening. The "rioting" took place 24 hours later when Chilly Willy was playing.

FBS was pretty dicey.

RHCP doing "fire" as their final track when there was already one fire wasn't the greatest idea.

Agreed. It was the overt commodification of the event, including necessities like water, that made everyone angry enough to just start tearing shit down.
The corporations all wanted a piece of the festival so they could profit from it. They jacked up prices for water. People were sick of the shitty conditions.

I watched it really liked it. I remember hearing about the event but I was like no way im goingvto go. I had to work anyway.
