Wrestling NCAA Wrestling

OK, scanned the forums of TheMat and this is what I gleaned:

- FLO has not been covering women's wrestling. The push is that it's hard to develop a larger fan base if FLO, the country's largest wrestling media outlet isn't covering the sport.

- A member of the Women's national team stated that a representative of FLO asked for bikini pics from the women on the team. I assume he wanted to go the old "sex sells" route for marketing.

- Pat Downey said something on Twitter. I don't do twitter, so I am not sure what he said. Sounded like he wanted to play the heel. So, not sure if his real opinion or if he is "in character".

With the NCAA recently recognizing women's wrestling as a emerging sport; since we had the same amount of Olympic gold medalists in men's and women's freestyle; since we had more women's gold medalist in last year's world championships, it would make sense that FLO would have more women's coverage.

I am not condoning any of the sexist behavior, and I acknowledge the accomplishments that the women's national team has achieved, but the simple fact is very few people watch women's wrestling. Covering as much women's wrestling as Men's wrestling, is simply not profitable for Flo.

Who should replace him against Taylor on the 25th?

Miles Martin and Nate Jackson have volunteered. I'd rather see Martin take on Taylor than Jackson.

I'd really like to see Bo against Taylor but it's probably not in the cards.

Zahid would be awesome as well.
Is it confirmed that Downey is out vs. Taylor?

No words about Chamizo vs Dake...
Shrug. The company hosting is dealing with other issues that were indirectly caused by the card. The Twitter shitstorm is amusing to watch. That honestly has people more engaged.

I am glad Chamizo took time off training and living in the US to promote it in Italy though.

Is Teasdale from East or West PA? Or Pennsyltucky? And was/is his dad a psycho?

He went to Jefferson Morgan which is about 60 minutes south of Pittsburgh in Fayette County. They call it Fayettenam for a reason. It's fairly rural and at the lower end of the socioeconomic ladder. When I lived on that side of the state, I lived north of Pittsburgh which was generally a bit nicer than the southern parts.

Ah, well I knew he reminded me of an old H.S. teammate for a reason
