Sadly, his 13 year old daughter Gianna, one of her teammates, the teammate's mother and the pilot were killed along with Kobe. :(

This shouldn't be left up when his 13 year old daughter was on board as well as another kid. Not cool, man. Should have the decency to delete/edit yourself or a mod should take care of it for you.

So surreal, especially with LeBron passing him last night. You're perspective is based around numbers and legacy in mind and then all of a sudden - one day later - you're horrifically pulled out of it all and have to deal with the crushing reality of life and death.

So unexpected. So sad.

On behalf of all Celtics fans I’d like to express my deepest sorrow for the loss of Kobe Bryant. One of the greatest competitors in any sport. RIP and condolences to the families and friends of all of those lost in this tragedy.

Terribly sad. Sports rivalries mean nothing in times like this.

I think all sports fans are shook right now.

Kobe was bigger than the game, one of the few guys who transcended sports.

I'll never throw a wadded up paper ball in a trash can the same way.
