NBA Regular Season thread: Tank for Cooper Flagg Initiated

Holy SHIT, Nuggets lost to the Wizards and Joker had 56/16/8

I watched every second of it and it was infuriating. It got to the point where it literally looked like it was 1 versus 5 on a play where Jokic was fighting for rebounds and nobody else on the team was even moving, and he was huffing and puffing then just started coming up short on some shots. I hate to say it, I started to want them to lose - but only kept watching just to see how many points Jokic would get. It was reminding me of the 5 versus 1 in the 2021 playoffs.

They shot 10% from 3 (excluding Jokic who was 3 for 5 including a full court heave shot). He would have easily had a triple double if his can teamates could hit the wide open looks he was giving them. At one point, they more/less stopped taking wide open threes to make passes to lead to bad perimeter shots. What kind of fucking team relies on its center to have a threat from 3?

Their foul shooting was awful too.

They were without Murray and Aaron Gordon, but Murray has been acting and playing awful. Gordon is legit the second most important player on that team given he's two way and versatile, and given how far Murray has fallen off, and how MPJ just does one thing kinda decent.

Anyhow, TMI / TL / DR: The most painful game I think I've ever watched as a Nuggets fan. I legit think Malone will get turfed soon if there isn't drastic change.

Yea man, there is something going on in the locker room with the Nuggets. I saw a highlight yesterday of Gordan trying to call a team huddle and everyone just ignoring him. I watched Luka drop 40 point triple doubles in the first few seasons of his career but lose all the time because the Mavs were so bad at that point.

Frozen rope from Luka to Klay who had 20 points tonight on 50% from the field.

Yes sir. It's a sad state of affairs, Nuggets Nation has turned on Jamal. It's one thing to not play well, it's another to give attitude like that play you reference because he didn't get passed the ball on a 3 on 1. There was also the thing where they got blown out by the Knicks and he said at the post game conference folks were having fun in LA (they played Lakers night before) saying there's more to do than just playing basketball like hanging out in LA for the nightlife. Then he also went to a UFC event when he had an afternoon game the next day. Pretty shabby state of affairs considered the can ownership just gave him a HUGE contract. He didn't play tonight most likely because he was benched for bad conduct even if they officially said tender calf muscle or whatever the fuck excuse they gave. (yes, I'm salty).

Seems like Nuggets Nation is at the "if you love someone set them free" stage and want to see Jokic traded. TBF thoough, Nuggets nation is like 20 or so people.

Jokic needs to come to my Warriors.

Kuminga, Looney, and a 2030 second round pick to sweeten the deal.

Joker is washed. Can’t carry his team to beat can teams.

I’m not being serious. That’s what cans would say if the lakers lost to the wizards though.

Good god, how is dude gonna drop 56 but his team does so little he can't beat the Wizards who were on a 16 game losing streak. I guess you can say the Wizards "were due", but holy shit.

Good to see the Flakes finally smartened up and sat LeCan so they could get a win.

Luka was throwing full court passes all night that game, fuckin sick.

That behind the head pass was gold.

Yea during that game he also threw a inbound pass full court frozen rope with no arc in it. I think Luka makes passes routinely that only he and Jokic can make.

The Intuit Dome was pretty dam nice. That was one of the worst regular season games you could ever go to though. Clippers best player was Bones Hyland lol. Harden game time decision didn’t even play.

I feel like a lot of the people were there Just for the experience and it definitely provides that.
The lighting, sound , visuals , food all on point. Look forward to going to concerts there. Fucking crazy traffic in LA for a Sunday night because Rams played.

It's amazing what the GOAT did to all-time elite defenses.

Tragic are devastated by injury. I don't see how they win this game, then again, the Bucks do find ways to lose.

Good to see teams that aren't complete cans in the NBA Cup quarterfinals.

Mavs-Thunder should be a nice rumble. Rockets-Warriors tomorrow.

Can’t wait to see OKC take home the NBA Copa Del Rey.
