NBA Offseason Discussion v.6: FIBA Americas

I love good sauces

Fishers worst moment, clearly, was repping the Players at the last CBA. Good lawd, that was the most inept leadership ever, Owners actually gained a higher percentage of BRI, cmon son

Him and Billy Hunter were complete jokes.

So ever since I've been sucked into MMA i've kind of lost in touch with basketball quite a bit. Today i felt like watching highlights of past couple years and check on who's the best now or whatever

There are a few things that turn my head but one that really stood out was Kobe Bryant's shooting percentage.

Now I know Kobe has always shot alot but 37%?? Wtf? That's terrible even for Kobe.

Can somebody who still watches basketball avidly tell me what's up? Is he missing lay ups now or what?

He's old now, and the Lakers were terrible last year. Kobe basically imploded and started playing insanely selfishly and terribly, there was even a game where he was 8-for-30 with 9 turnovers. He also was on video cursing at Mitch Kupchak (the Lakers General Manager) and insulting everyone on the team.

...then he sat a game to rest and the guys won without him. He came back and tried to stat stuff with assists...then got injured for the rest of the year. He finished as the second-worst player in the entire league in terms of +/- (meaning how good his team was with him playing vs with him not playing), better than, I think, only Andrea Bargnani.

Few people are expecting much this year. Probably more assist-stat stuffing and a quick injury exit followed by retirement.

Shabazz Napier was a great college player.

Thanks man that's a great response. I still can't believe one of the greatest players of all time is playing like that at only 37. I guess some players age faster than others with the game.

I like when Kobe facilitates, idiot haters call it "stat stuffing with assists."

Yeah, it was bad but the owners usually rape the players in those negotiations.

Shabazz Napier can eat shit and live. POS motherfucker

lol, the ultimate FU on the way out of Miami was Lebron basically convincing the Heat to draft that can and then bailing back to Cleveland. Dude has no shame.

that's just lebron cultivating his gm skills

more like Rat Riley showing his lack of gm skills.
