It would take a lot of rings to piss off Jordan/Bulls fans. Even Kareem with 6 is not equivalent to the two Bulls 3-peats. In the last 50 years there have only been three 3-peats, two of them by the Bulls, one by Kobe. So as great as the Warriors have been, they have never been able to 3-peat a single time. Jordan dong it twice is absurd.

The problem is the Mavs are already in the luxury tax for next year and they don't have a lot of assets they can move. They can offer to trade a Brunson, Green, Powell or something like that but what they get in return will not be an All Star level player. That's the rub, there is no clear path for the Mavs to get any high level talent. At least a third to half the league is permafucked in that respect. Unless a big name specifically pushes to go to your city, good luck with that.
