It's kind of fucking deserved at this point, Boston had Zero expectations while LA was hoping the weird ass move for Russ was going to be lightning in a bottle, that bottle blew up in their face.

We’ve had some pretty depressing years since the KG super team not gonna lie. It’s been what is it…12-14 years since that title?

Celtics have been through some struggles. Would only be the second title in my lifetime. Compared to the warriors 5th in the last 10 years?

Yeah that Big 3 ended up producing only 1 ring which can be looked down on , but Boston has been competitive, while Lebron at least won a Ring during the pathetic run of the Buss' kids.

It's the same for both Franchises . If we are talking about more competitive Eras , probably best to start with titles Starting with Magic and Bird.

Seems like most do, considering how much I've seen it talked about.

A bunch of those Laker championships were won in Minneapolis where there are actual lakes, so Loss Angeles itself doesn't have 17 anyway.

That’s where I start. Before then it was just a bunch of drug addicted garbage men in a league that was close to going bankrupt. Lakers 11, celshits 4

I give Boston shit because Bill Russell was probably the Greatest Winner in the history of thar City , but you tell me if that city loves him or Larry Bird more.

The problem is they are both insufferable.

Remember my first season watching basketball it's round 1 of the playoffs and they running Lakers v Celtics commercials "rivalrys never die". No wonder the Alex Jones types think the NBA is rigged. The truth is people act as if Magic and Bird saved basketball but that's correlation not being casuation. Americans want parity this is why the NBA will never catch the NFL. The reason the 70s failed is because the American population was older(average person grew up before the NBA was founded) and didn't give a fuck about basketball. Magic and Bird didn't save shit people don't want 2 teams dominating everything.

They did save basketball. Shit used to be on fucking tape delay. The Lakers and Celtics rivalry in the 80s was also a mini cultural war , stop pretending any other Rivalry comes close.

I do have a bigger hatred for NE sports fans for sure. NE stole my soul. With Lakers it is just the Lakers, nothing wrong with LA, good progressive folk.
