After 7 seasons, Jordan started making at least $3,250,000 a year.
After 7 seasons, Jokic will be making over $50 million a year.
$3.25 mil in 1991 is only $6.975 mil in 2022.

He's making more than Magic made in his entire career in a single season. Imagine the man that made the NBA what it is today made less in his whole career than cans like Westbrick, Wall, and Kyrie do in a season.

Kinda amazing how the NBA off-season is a million times more interesting than the season itself once again. Only dropped in to say KD is bitchmade and had to ride GS's coattails to win the rings.

lol my boy Chandler Parsons made $25 million in one season.

Some of the old guys deserve legacy pay. Guys got absolutely fleeced.
Indeed. And you got bozos like Durant and Draymond saying “These old basketball players are just haters because they see how much money we make.” He doesn’t take into consideration it is because of those players that you’re getting these ridiculous salaries.

It makes my stomach turn seeing a bum like Tristan Thompson make more in 2 years than some of the greatest players in NBA history. Guys that built the foundation. I see guys getting max contacts I've never even heard of. I'm a casual like Chuck and Shaq now <45>

I still think Durant is the most talented wing player ever.

But damm. This is such a dick move. Like everyone understood the OKC thing(apparently Sam Presti was a dick to Durant, refused to hang up posters of his face congratulating him for stuff because it'd undermine the team) and GSW obviously the media torched him so it's understandable he'd want to prove him wrong. But here he's just being a dick. They layed out the red carpet for him coming off an Achilles injury did everything he wanted even when it backfired and now duces when the teams current core can still win the title next year? Not even running it back one more year until Kyrie(your "bff") contract expires?

And now I'm thinking is KD petty enough to go to the Suns so he can troll Barkley over winning a championship? He's not that petty, is he?

I’m just hoping in the next CBA, the owners need to put stipulations and whatnot in these contracts. In a perfect world, it would be like the NFL, non-guaranteed contracts. You have players sitting out because of “load management” and other ridiculous reasons. There should be some type of play to pay in these contracts.

Then they should have focused on their plumbing careers

Lmao. The load management is done by the teams. It’s not up to the players.

Yeah, I’m sure… The Spurs doctors told Kawhi that he was good to go and Kawhi refused to go out there. Tony even came out and said he had a similar injury and he came back. Or when Kyrie said he had to take personal days off… That stuff should not fly anymore. I’m just hoping to see more stringent rules in the new CBA.

Kawhis championship gave credibility to the concept of load managment. People were accusing him of faking injuries and being a fraud and then he handed the NBA media possibly the biggest L they've ever gotten by leading the Raptors to the title.

After that no one said a peep about "load managment" because now it looked like it worked and teams that didn't do it were being dumb. The narrative changed from Kawhi faking injuries to the Spurs, team doctors and media being dumb for not believing Kawhi.

Simmons and Kyrie took that favorable dynamic for the players and burned it to the ground. But there isn't a consensus that load managment is a problem. There's an awful lot of players who get hurt a lot in the regular season and Simmons and Kyries missed time was because of fan phobia and covid respectively not "load managment".

Kyrie is a flake and an outlier. Kawhi was actually hurt. I mean McCollum came out and talked about it but I’m sure you know more.

McCollum who represents the players as the president? That McCollum?
