Actually didn’t Dallas get Wood? He’ll start at C then.. JaFail off the bench isn’t bad. Him starting is laughable though.

Yea, I think the main goal this off season for the Mavs was to pick up some size and rim protection. McGee is 7'0" and Wood is 6'10", Wood can also shoot the 3 and stretch the floor. Not All Star level pick ups but it makes the Mavs stronger in that regard, plus they will have Hardaway Jr. back from a broken foot.

The mavs are really trying to make Lucuck leave after this contract. Lmao

Want to hear the sad part. This is the most aggressive and active I've seen the Mavs in years. Most years they don't even make any offers. I'm not joking.

Too bad the mavs have a bunch of cans on their team besides Lucuck. Otherwise they could make a deal for Durant.

i think they’ll start Powell at center and him and McGee will just split minutes. Guess either one could start doesn’t really matter. Play Wood at the 4 and maybe put him at the 5 when those other cans are tired.

Mcgee would be alright coming off the bench but that contract is fucked
cant blame the guy, blame the owners and staff of teams.
get your bag young blood

also fucking LOL at that lakers fan tweet

Whoever gets KD, its gonna be for a warchest

I don't know about that. People are saying JaVale is going to start at Center, and Powell might not even be on the team.

They should blast Powells can ass into the sun. Sounds like they’re gonna try and move him.

The thing with KD is he is only like 3-4 years younger than LeBron. It's possible he is good just as long as LeBorn it's also possible you only get 1-2 years of MVP level KD. I'd consider getting KD to be far more risky than it was 3 seasons ago even without the recent Achilles injury.

And yeah I don't like humanizing billionaires and corporations but as far as an organization can get totally fucked over the Nets got totally fucked over. They rolled out the red carpet for KD, Kyrie and Harden and did everything they asked and got totally utterly fucked. So much so I can't imagine like it ever happening again. Unlike the 2013 thing that was not at all their fault. Nets should get a massive warchest and KD should totally understand that.

Suns now co favorites with Warriors on betting lines to win it all next year

Brooklyn dropped all the way down to +2000 behind 11 other teams...

Wait weren't Suns supposed to lose Ayton? They patch that up or what?

Agree to an extent, but its obvious the nets dont have a solid direction or front office, and just want to win and dont think of anything else beyond it.
Same can be said for the Lakers really

I really do have to respect The Warriors front office and such. They have done a great job of not only keeping the core together, but getting assets and role players/younger players to help them and not giving it all up. Very Spurs-esque until Timmys retirement and such

If healthy they're the most stacked and deepest but one papercut could have half their rotation out for months
yeah im not solid on their line up at all, or john wall, until a few months in and proven they can be healthy and effective
on paper it should rock
but the clippers curse!

In theory what the Nets did should have worked 9/10 times they got fucked.

For all the talk about how the Heat and Warriors do things the "right way" they did the superteam thing when they had the chance. Meanwhile the Spurs will be rewarded for not asskissing Kawhi with likely decades of irelevance. Stacking superstars the number 1 way to win in this league and teams only deviate from that plan when they can't do it which requires a lot more luck.

And the key for the Heat superteam was keeping it together after the disaster in 2011. LeBron could have said fuck it after being utterly humiliated he was clearly pissed(remember "they've got to go back to their shitty lives" line?)but no the Heat big 3 got in a room splashed water on their face had a pep talk(all educated guesses) and got it done. If they'd just stayed the course the Nets would have likely won after Covid but damm they just got fucked. Nets were adding good pieces too to their superteam like the Heat did in 2012 and 2013 they just couldn't keep the house from burning down.
