NBA Fat Shaming Superstar Zion Williams

Weight clauses happen in the NFL.

The weirdest one is the Cardinals just gave Kyler Murray a contract that states he has to study at least 4 hours a week......you'd think if you gave a guy like $200million you shouldn't have to tell him to study, but Kyler has been on record multiple times saying he doesn't study......probably why he sucks in the 2nd half of the season when coordinators get a 2nd crack at him and study his game film.

Kyler(hate that name always a whiny bitch attached) held a press conference bitching about that clause and Arizona took it out. Bitch move by Arizona getting punked out by a midget.

Seriously.....if you are a Cardinals fan you can't be thrilled about tying up that much money into that guy for the next 4-5 years. You'll be just good enough to be 11-6, maybe squeak into the playoffs and lose first round, and then not get a top 10 draft pick b/c of it. As a Vikings fan I feel that pain ;)

Not too mention he's beyond arrogant for his skillset.

"“I think I was blessed with the cognitive skills to just go out there and just see it before it happens,” Murray said. “I’m not one of those guys that’s going to sit there and kill myself watching film. I don’t sit there for 24 hours and break down this team and that team and watch every game because, in my head, I see so much.”"

He also said it wouldn't even take him 4 or 5 years to be as good in soccer as Ronaldo is.

I wouldn't have hitc

I wouldn't have hitched my wagon to him to lead a franchise but at this point NO doesn't have a choice. He sells tickets and when healthy he is pretty amazing.

He barely plays and has all the indicators that he won’t be reliable in any way. At best he’s a poor man’s Blake Griffin. He’s already wasted his career to this point and seems to have no desire to get in shape.

Everyone talks about how amazing he is, it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t play.

He's 22. Calm down, son.

More players fail than succeed in the NBA.

He has all the potential, but his style doesn’t reallly translate in a way that can be successful long term. And he hasn’t shown shit to show that he can play and be available.

He’s played less than 90 games in 3 seasons. He’s fat, lazy, and consistently hurt. It is what it is. I don’t know why people get so salty about him when you tell the truth.

WOW. Do you watch college basketball? I saw a season of Zion being the best player on the court every, single, time. If he stays healthy he can at least take them to the 'offs

Yes, that was the last time he played that mattered. Damn near 4 years ago.

What am I saying that’s so controversial?

All the potential, but doesn’t play, until he can stay on the court he doesn’t matter. I’d love to watch him play, the problem, is that he doesn’t play and doesn’t seem to care about getting in shape either.

He’s fat and plays like a battering ram. With that style and injury history, IF he can get healthy, how many years can he really play at a high level? Just be real about it, it’s not like we haven’t seen this scenario unfold a million times in sports before.

Have you ever heard the legend of Greg Oden the odd?

Cool. Sig bet. Zion averages 20 pts 11reb and you tell me the games played. That's the real question.

I’m sure he can pull those numbers over a portion of a season.

I don’t think he plays 70% of games for the remainder of his career.

I’ll gladly bet you that he doesn’t make a conference final over the life of this 5 year extension. It ends 2027-28.

Are you serious? They aren't even similar. How in the world could you tie Greg Oden into this? This NBA thread is full of cans, myself excluded.

A talented big man who was great in college but had an abnormal body(albeit in entirely different ways)? Picked over generationally talented wings in Kevin Durant and Ja Morant? The enthusiasm for their future going away as people saw the situation for what it was?

I see tons of similarities between the two. I don't know what you're talking about.

He might have a problem then because from what I've seen he has packed on some serious muscle and even though he looks pretty healthy all that muscle weighs more then his body fat did a year ago. Still excited to see him play again he's going to be fun to watch.

Oden was 7 foot and an injury waiting to happen. Zion isn't even close to the same situation. Like I said, this thread is full of cans.

I think you meant to post on grind r.

Cans can survive centuries without decomposing. Not that we're cans but just more time to learn about the world and become something else.

Autobiographical I'm assuming. That sympathy card MIGHT sell. Big MIGHT.

Zions a fatass for the ages. Shaq needs to give him a pep talk about staying in shape.

He should talk to Barkley, who was really fat and out of shape. Once he got into shape he was awesome. He credit Moses Malone for getting on his case and making him or helping him lose like 50 pounds. But that was back in a different era when the young guys had older mentors to kick their ass into shape.

Zion comes in with all the hype in the world. There isn't a strong vet on the team to get on his case. His team is too young. Maybe CJ McCollum could get on him a bit? He would need someone like a LeBron or a Draymond Green type guy to bust his ass.
