Yea silly me, it only worked against the best player of all time. I was wrong to thing it would be effective now. Thank you Mr.Lumin
It worked against Jordan in his younger years because he was a one man team. Once he started trusting his teammates more, they beat those Pistons and never looked back. And the Jordan rules' brutality is vastly exaggerated. It was much more about making him work on both ends to simply limit him a little bit and wear him down (the Cavs are already trying to ISO Curry on D every possession and not allowing him to do his usual thing in transition). They sent 3 or 4 people at him if he drove. Try doing that to Steph and leave the 3 other All-Stars wide open all game.

Plus they can't give up their FT advantage, especially by hacking the best shooter ever.

Good points, Curry just got a record of 3's in the finals. You are right, Jordan hit the gym hard after losing that series and came back stronger so he could handle the contact. Steph won't be able and mentally I think it would shake him, it's not like the cavs have many options. Get beat by 4 all stars or 3. But of course Cavs can turn it all around (which I don't see happening).

I mean if they just went out there to play completely dirty and try to injure, they could obviously take him off his game. Detroit genuinely didn't do that. They had a defensive juggernaut for the era. Dumars and Rodman were both great perimeter defenders (and Rodman obviously was great down low as well). Then you have guys like Laimbeer and Mahorn inside if he did get past. Watch some of those highlights, the entire team collapsed on him when he drove and most of the time contact wasn't anything particularly severe, because it didn't need to be. They'd have three guys in position to force him to cut back and forth to get to the basket, forcing passes or off balance shots. Yes, they were physical with him too, but other than a handful of hard fouls we've all seen over and over again on highlight reels, they were trying to get the ball out of his hands without getting a foul call. They just happened to have the defenders to do it better than anyone else out there. Jordan was relentless going to the hole, so he forced the issue a lot, but people who think Detroit just thugged him are wrong. And btw, he still played really well against them, just not well enough to beat them without trusting any of his teammates. (30, 5.5, 6.5, 2 stls, on 46% shooting in '89. 32, 8, 7, 2.5 stls, on 47% shooting in '90). Once he started letting other guys handle the ball and gave it up when he saw an open man instead of waiting until he was stuck with 3 defenders surrounding him, they swept the Pistons without much difficulty.

After blowing game 1, Cavs goal is not to get swept. If Curry, Durant and Klay are all going to shoot well (and it appears they've all started to get locked in), Leaveland has no chance.

Lmao just saw a stat that Jordan Clarksons last assist came with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter of game 4 vs....

Toronto

Lmao... watching Clarkson on Cleveland has been so enjoyable, everyone realizing just how trash he is (as I’ve been saying for years now)
So Clarkson and Swaggy P cancel each other out?

It worked against Jordan because he wasn't as skilled in his early years than his later years. Steph is already ridiculously skilled in all facets of the game

A answer I expected from a Trump voter .... lol jk yea good point. I just don't like Curry and the Warriors so I'm grasping more than I should.

Look at those stats from the Cavs starters and bench besides Bron and Love.
My god, what a team of cans lol

Curry was lights out tonight, but tbh, that was the first time out of these last 4 finals where I thought he was playing like the best guy on the floor.

He's a great player, surrounded by great talent, in a great system.

Wouldn't mind seeing him win FMVP tbh, but I'm kind of rooting for Klay to get it, really the only guy on the Warriros besides Livingston that I don't despise.

I never liked Steph but he has been amazing these two games.

I wonder if Skip runs his own Twitter or he just gives an intern a list of things to be salty about.
Skip is a Cuck. How’s these networks pay guys like him and horse face Sharpe to babble non stop on tv is unreal.

also, while i value Dirk's ring likely more than anyone here, don't sleep on that 94 season by Hakeem

winning DPOTY, MVP, and FMVP as the lone AS (drexler didn't come till the second year) is about as ridiculously dominant as ONE player can be
Jordan retired. Doesn't count.

Just when i thought Lebron couldnt act any more soft, he wears a suit with shorts. damn, durant with his no lens glasses and backpack looks like a badass compared to that
