lol just nothing really in 2009
i watched as everyone of my cousins aunts uncles nephews
each collected 10,000 each . i was pissed myself being 22 working fulltime for an apprenticeship. just grown to respect it i hated being native in edmonton for ever
i did a bit of research and my father schooled me on it and it made me sad as fuck
i just thought i would hit up sherdog for some opinions
I don't get your answer?, my sincere condolences for growing up in Edmonton though. Are you saying your American Indian, but without any recognised tribal status, don't know what tribe, or 6 times removed from any kind of status
do Canadians know that sometimes white murricans refer to black people as Canadians so we can talk about them in front of them? do black people know this?
Native Canadians...see, that's odd to me that a group of people that feel so marginalized would use that term. Canada is a country, not a continent. A country is a political entity. The aboriginal people predate the political entity known as Canada. A continent, on the other hand, is a geographic, not a political, entity and thus is less saddled with the baggage that comes with politics. I'm surprised that they wouldn't prefer "Native American," using "American" in the continental sense.
I would think they would want to distance themselves from the word "Canada" so as to further highlight that they were there first. Like, "hey, we were here when this place wasn't Canada, or the US, or Mexico; it just was, man."
you're dad was literally raped?
What do they call them? First Nationals?
Wait. What? Is this true? IS IT?
my father was he's 57 now and a half breed he told me
and it breaks my heart hes very successful now i wont name him
he was 11 when he tried to hitchhike away from his home he came back cryng
and his fostermother told him he deserved it
it's true. it's not a universal or anything, plenty of people do't know about it, but there are people who do this. it's funny and pathetic all at once.
I'm Native. USA pays 100% of my healthcare. If I have children they're covered too, same with anyone I knock-up.
So if there are any white women out there confused by this affordable health care act just come see me for FREE medical care.

That would makes soooooo much sense... you know... except for:
Canada: 1560s (implied in Canadian), said to be a Latinized form of a word for "village" in an Iroquoian language of the St. Lawrence valley that had gone extinct by 1600. Most still-spoken Iroquoian languages have a similar word (e.g. Mohawk kana:ta "town"). Canada goose is attested from 1772.
