Nate's already got his excuse ready

Nate doesnt need an excuse. He is there for the $. He will tell you that straight up.

nate is getting paid a tonne for this fight

i doubt he cares whether he wins or not

he is there for that one big pay day

It's not really an excuse if Diaz is taking a Short notice fight against a guy who has been preparing for months. That's common sense.

That's why I wanted Cerrone for this fight because he just fought and he would be ready. The UFC knows this and that's why they chose another fighter who isn't prepared.

Just like when they didn't choose Edgar for UFC 189 and instead chose Mendes. Edgar was ready to go and they didn't want that.

Cerrone made sense but Nate brings more PPV buys...so without the LW belt(not RDA) being the draw for viewers, they had to choose someone that could still provide serious interest and viewers because there are millions on the line. They just couldn't afford to give the fight to someone who cannot bring eyeballs after the dissapointing news...

All these other names being thrown out can barely bring viewers to a Free Fight Night Card. NATE is the exception. He is a draw and brings conteoversy.

It's $$$$ always.

People don't listen well at all....

The reporter asked if he will have a big advantage in size and strength, to which Diaz brought up he only has a week to prepare. He was trying to say he won't really have an advantage when you factor that in.

So that means that you wanted the replacement opponent for Conor McGregor to be the person that has lost literally every single one of the most important duels of his career (just like Michael Bisping has).

Furthermore, Nathan Diaz is 1-0 against Donald Cerrone.

Originally, Rafael dos Anjos was supposed to battle Conor McGregor. Rafael is 2-0 against Donald Cerrone and he is 1-0 against Nathan Diaz.

If I had it my way, it would be Conor McGregor vs. Nick Diaz but Nick is still suspended. Another option that I would prefer is Conor McGregor vs. Stephen Thompson. Remember that Stephen Thompson won recently on February 6, 2016.

Look, almost any option would be a bad option. That's because Rafael was injured.

Frank Edgar is the former UFC Lightweight World Champion but he started to lose in the Lightweight division and that's why he moved to the Featherweight division.

Nathan Diaz has even fought in the Welterweight division before and he can definitely sell MMA fights.

I don't think that Donald Cerrone can sell as well as Nathan Diaz does.

If I am forced to choose between Nathan Diaz and Donald Cerrone as the opponent, I'll definitely choose Nathan Diaz.

to be fair neither of those comments are a lie its fact

that said the only thing he seems confident about is its going to be a "fight" Nate knows he is going in there with a disadvantage is probably expecting to lose

You see conspiracies everywhere man. The reason Mendez, and not Edgar was chosen to fight McGregor when Aldo was injured, is because Mendez were knocking out people left and right. Edgar went for the boring decisions. Mendez was definetively the more fan-friendly fight.

The same goes here. People love Diaz. He is the fan-favoured fighter. Its the fight that the fans want to see. Simple as that

Edgar? Boring? Shut the fuck up

That was 6 years ago and the start of Conor's career. If I recall correctly Nick Diaz got the shit kicked out of him and almost put out cold in his 5th pro fight by a guy with a record of 9-5.

Stop hanging on to the past bro.
Where you at now, pussy?

Where you at now, pussy?
Lol calm down.

I've already congratulated Nate. He weathered the storm and took some big shots and then took advantage when Conor gassed. It was a good performance and he deserved the win.

I think you should stop getting so emotionally invested into things.

Well this thread is awkward...

Lmao. 10 day Nate is our savior. I won't be getting tired of posting this gif any time soon.
