Okay, the fight hasn't been 100% confirmed yet, but I'm sure that Nate Diaz calling out Conor McGregor played a huge role, as well as his interesting persona and good recent performance, but its not like hes the most qualified of all fighters right now, I guess you can argue neither is McGregor in some ways.

On a side note, Eddie Alvarez might have gotten a shot considering he's the #1, sure his fight was relatively recent (so was Cerrone), but I bet that recent performance against pettis called all bets off. Unfortunate timing IMO.

But a lot of people called out Conor. Nate's overall mouth in general got him the fight, not the call out.

What's Conor's reaction going to be if Nate lands a Stockton slap in the middle of the first round?

McGregor will be shitting his pants if this fight is announced!

Didn't the entire top-10 at Lightweight, and most of Featherweight...also some at Welterweight call out Conor? I think the real lesson here is that if you want consistent fights that will sell, learn from McGregor.
