Easy win for Poirier. Smart move, strike while the iron is hot. Prob the last easy money fight he has. Get an agreement with Nate for both to weigh in at 165.

So Dustins the only fighter that deserves a TS and he doesnt even want it, this must be pissing Dana off.

It's shows that the UFC are full of shit. Money for his family, and his businesses, and his charity is more important that going for a title that doesn't pay what it should.

Dustin doesn't care about the title, hes chasing money fights. He's being very smart with this. Money>>>>>>Legacy

Dana is not gonna go for this. He doesnt like the fighters matchmaking for themselves

Voted Diaz purely because I’m a fan. I liked Diaz to win the first time this was announced. Now that 3+ years have passed, I think we gotta favor Poirier.
Cheering for Nate though!

I got Poirier, but this isn't a completely unfavorable match up for Nathan. If he's got anything left, he'll make it interesting at some point.

This is cold on Dustin's part. He's already embarrassed Conor twice. Now, while Conor is convalescing, Dustin will dominate Nate - taking significant shine (and money) off what everyone is predicting will be Conor's return fight - Diaz/McGregor 3. lol

If you can be a fan favorite and headline events WITHOUT being the champ in the UFC, you are way better off going that route than holding that belt.

The UFC's champion clause is a bitch. Nate and Dustin know what's going on.

titles don't mean shit in the ufc nowadays. look what the ufc just did with the heavyweight division. made up some bullshit belt between gane and lewis, just to spite the champ. it's better for fighters to chase the money, because the prestige of being champion is no longer there, despite what the ufc tries doing to screw over their fighters.
This is accurate as fuck.

i believe nate diaz will get this fight, dana knows its a good money fight
the promo would be like this "this bum only has 18 loses in his career, can dustin add one more?" narrated by khabib

Nate Diaz can make a non competitive 5 round loss still do good for him, i wouldnt mind watching this, which weight class tho? While i think Poirier should go for the belt, that could make it difficult to get the money fights later, champs usually get what they want, but him fighting Conor a 4ht time and for the belt doesnt look good, him kicking ass for a "money belt" each time is still good to me, book it uncle Dana, 1million PPV's

Damn, Dustin is on that "Money Tour." How much more does he need to build that gym for the kids?
Still 500k short.

Kinda like Dustin is stealing Conor's side piece that Conor always wished he could bang again.

Poirier never was and never will be scared of fighting Nate Diaz. One of the two is elite and the other is a middling gatekeeper and for those of you not in the know, the guy from Louisiana isn't the gatekeeper of the two...
