Name one documentary that you feel people should watch and explain why

Wrestling with Shadows

Honour, trust, betrayal. It's all there.
A classic documentary and the only 'wrestling' documentary you would ever need to see if you were never a fan of the industry growing up, but it appeals to any audience.

For all the criticism our legal system gets today, this movie is a stunning showcase of what the system used to be like. It highlights the attitude and lifestyle living with rampant crime in 70's and 80's, and gets into the thought process behind the corruption.

It's also amazing how charismatic and somewhat likeable some of these murderous drug dealers can be.

I will watch this.

I always laugh when people wax poetically about how great "gritty" 1970s/80s NYC was. Those people are out of their minds or dumber than a box of rocks.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet. This is about the real life struggle between two grown men to score the highest world score in Donkey Kong and the crazy length they go to. It's both lighthearted and nuts.

Billy Mitchell has to be the most cringy full of himself guy stuck in the 80's ive ever seen. Steve Webee seems like the nicest dude though.

Yet he is like the consummate competitor

EDIT:

When I was diagnosed with cancer and started getting treatment, I asked my oncologist about the little things (beyond diet and exercise) I could do to decrease my risk of getting cancer again and one of the things he said was cutting out fragrances in things like detergent.

Yeah the fragrances are one of the big culprits for hidden ingredients due to patent protection. Honestly though, there are so many hazardous chemicals in so many things that we fill our homes with its really takes a lot of effort to try and address it. The ewg.org is an excellent resource for learning about all of this. The more you learn about this subject though, it can seem like theres no point really; just so much exposure to chemicals.

About an unemployed ice cream truck driver that noticed a pattern in a popular game show. He became a contestant and won a ton of money.

It’s a bit dated, but entertaining.
