So "real talk", it seems as though people diss "Obama care", but the affordable care act is a God sent for people with pre-existing conditions. If Trump threatened to undo that it seriously f's with a person's livelihood.

Obamacare had good socialist provisions and bad capitalist ones. It was a very mixed bag. It expanded medicaid and socialized medicine but also expanded the slaughter of the American people by insurance companies with the individual mandate etc. Its a policy that both saved and took a large amount of lives.

That's not true though, the mandate was actually removed while Trump was in office ironically. "The mandate was phased in from 2014 to 2016, and was eliminated in 2019. However, individuals are still required to maintain health insurance coverage or receive an exemption." It would not be hard to qualify for an exemption if you're truly unable to afford healthcare, but then again you could qualify for medicaid.

That doesn't remotely compare to the plight of people with pre-existing conditions being denied coverage or being charged exorbitant rates. Imagine being someone diagnosed with cancer and shopping around for insurance prior to the ACA.

But the question is would Trump do away with that part of the ACA or not.
