Why should Calderwood be that close to a title shot? Her best win was against Val, who was #8 before her title shot, and only got it because all other fighters were booked up or injured.

Calderwood has shown quite a bit of improvement, Zahabi is doing wonders.

But give her a different match up to see how consistent it is.

I would guess that rose/kk would be the logical next step. Tecia, Andrade, and calderwood in any combination could happen soon. I'm not sure what the status of Penne is, nor do I know how soon Claudia or Esparza plan to fight again.

Rose is fighting Karolina for the number one contender spot later this month. Winner obv gets the next shot at JJ.

JoJo versus Andrade would be a barn burner but I doubt they make that fight now because both just came off impressive victories and the organization is gonna want them to add to those streaks. Before their last fights they were coming off losses. Regardless of having finishes, 2 wins in a row (for which either girl wins) doesn't scream title shot.
