#10 Nakahiro stops Nasu!
By Joe Koizumi
WBC#10 super-fly Daigo Nakahiro (17-2, 7 KOs), 114.5, took the initiative from the outset, floored hard-hitting but fragile Yuki Nasu (14-4, 11 KOs), 114.75, with a vicious combination and halted him at 2:45 of the third round in a scheduled ten on Thursday in Tokyo, Japan. Nakahiro previously failed to win the WBC flyweight belt, losing a unanimous nod to Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (in his fourteenth defense) in Thailand in 2006, but kept winning since. Nakahiro, a graduate from a master course in a university in his native Hiroshima, is a clever boxer-puncher who is gunning for a world title shot again in the 115-pound division. Nasu suffered a couple of KO defeats in a row by ex-OPBF champ Jojo Bardon and Nakahiro.

Undercard: Japanese #3 140-pounder Shinya Nagase (15-2-1, 9 KOs), 140, scored a quick KO win over Samrong Wor Surapol (reportedly 8-6-2, 1 KO), 136.5, in the first round of a scheduled ten. Promoter: Global Kyoei Promotions.
