I love my Bengals :) I had a bad day yesterday but they have made me that back and then some.

Looking ahead:

  • Nov. 2nd - What do you expect Curran/Straus line to be?
  • Nov. 6th - For UFN 31, could Larken be a lock against Camozzi? Camozzi has a good chin though and his striking is pretty good, will it go the distance?

-300 or + in favor of Curran. Curran doesnt seem to have problems with wrestlers.
Also while they both improved since their first fight, I believe Curran is leaps and bounds ahead of him.

Doing okay Live betting NFL. The run is pretty predictable expect Manning does alot of play action so it throws me off 1 out of 10 times.

Ended up $210 yesterday. New policy is to just bet on MMA, tired of getting killed on team sports. Hit a nice parlay yesterday with Machida/ Moraes.

About team sports

Agree with this completely. As much as I did great with soccer today (people should start betting houses on Atletico Madrid, they are steamrolling left and right in Primera, especially against lower quality team. They will give 3 or 4 goals if they can, great team for betting) it is really hard to predict team sports. Much easier to break down a fight between just two fighter rather than counting on bunch of player not to have a brain fart that day. one stupid move or pass could mess up good playing from the rest of the team

As for the next card, besides main event, that nobody cares about, the rest of the card is actually pretty good. I don't know why some people were bashing on this card. There are some very interesting match ups, gonna be a fun card.

Right now thinking about playing on Khabilov.

Khabilov could and probably will outgrapple Masvidal. Just can't go against those Russian monsters in UFC (looking at you Amagov and Khabib)

Maybe I'm too hard on Alex Davis but she is fading material for me. She looked awful in that fight with Sexton and gassed badly. Sexton even took over in that last round. Yes Sexton is durable but we saw how bad she was this weekend (and I even put a lot of money on her). I think Liz will have a great chance to finish Alex when she starts gassing. But after losing a lot of (potential) money on WMMA I will avoid this and any WMMA in UFC in the future (Oblivion don't follow this time, still feeling bad for putting you on Sexton  )

I also like Bermudez, think he is strong and durable enough to win over Siler, I'm still not sold on Siler. Gonna be close and this is maybe just a fan boy talk because I love Bermudez a lot.

Chiesa should be able to defend TDs from Colton and pick him apart in stand up. Chiesa was actually landing nice on Masvidal in opening minute of that fight so his striking is good or better say good enough for Colton. Chiesa gets a sub in second round after Colton eating a lot of punches on the feet in the first.

Krause looked amazing against Stout and it was a short notice if I remember correctly. Green is good but I think Krause is better, I'm very interested to see what you guys think about this match up.

And Larkins should win. That loss against Carmont was bs, he has amazing TDD, didn't gas when defending those TDs and we saw how strong Carmont is against Costa. I just don't see Camozzi getting this to the ground and he was outstrike by Nick Ring in first round and a half , before Ring slowed down. I'm gonna look over Jacare loss because Jacare is a monster at MW. Larkins has better striking than Carmont, enough to win clearly on score cards

Very interesting card, can't wait to see if lines are any good

Congrats man. I have hit similar before but never had the balls to throw more than a few bucks. $100 on that takes serious balls. Enjoy that payout!

Thanks man!

Can't wait till College Basketball rolls around...more parlay material lol

Larkin via Decision and fight goes to decision (if you want to be extra safe) imo are the best bets for that fight. Both guys have great chins and great TDD aswell. Neither man really carry the kind of power or volume they would need to get a stoppage over each other imo. Larkin is much more technical and as long as he doesn't get inactive during the fight he should take this fight comfortably.

I have no idea how you can call Camozzi's tdd "great", are you thinking of someone else? What wrestlers has he stuffed? Furthermore, how many strikers has he fought and survived getting blasted enough for his chin to be considered "great"? I remember Kyle Noke hurting him on the feet then taking him down and subbing him quickly. His UFC resume is terrible, almost all the guys he has beat are fighting in smaller org's now.

Larkin showed good tdd against Carmont but I don't know when he has proven to have a great chin either, only time I remember him getting hit hard was against roided out Mo and he didn't take it well. I guess I just don't agree with your usage of "great" here more than anything, wouldn't you want to save that for when you're talking about Condit or Hendo's chin? Barao's tdd?

Anyway I'll be playing Larkin ITD as well as his ML, I think he has a lot of power and is by far the best striker Camozzi has ever faced.

Idk yet. What I do know about Khabilov: fights at Greg Jackson's, combat Sambo technique, and relies on a suplex attack and follows up with striking. Haven't noticed him using length to keep opponent at a distance (as a game plan).

Masvidal has power in his strikes. He has good balance during TDD especially against Chiesa (who is relentless in attempting TDs .. Unlike Khabilov). Chiesa is underrated and I thought Masvidal had done good. I'm worried about Masvidal's no head movement .. Khabilov best chance landing some strikes then going for a suplex?

I'm on Masvidal at +145

I still would have made the Detroit -3 again. Detroit nearly gave up that game. Dallas looked horrible in that first half. Are you gloating or something?

No, you said you should have played Det ML, but Dal +3 was the cheaper play.....

I feel the next ufc fight night will have hecka decisions.

Just hopped on Evans at -160 before his line gets dropped, which apparently it has down to -195 right now.

I'm about to make a large play (for my standard, anyway) on Rashad over Chael. I think this line (62% implied odds of Rashad winning) is WAY off.

I am no Rashad nuthugger but would personally cap him at -550 or so. Yes, I think he wins this fight 85% of the time.

I am going to put my money where my mouth is but am I missing something?

Agree, think Rashad smashes Chael. I think we're getting this line through a series of atypical events. Specifically, I am referring to Rashad's peculiar appearance vs Lil' Nog and pedestrian decision vs. Hendo followed by Chael's surprisingly impressive performance again Shogun which compound to form a abnormally close line when it wouldn't otherwise be. Indeed, these events have conjured up the perfect storm so to speak which is awesome for us bettors as it rarely happens. In short, the books are fading Rashad while simultaneously overrating Sonnen, ergo, your current line.

Lol, I just saw on mmaoddsbreaker's website that they preview WWE events.. and give out the betting odds for these events...WTF, people actually bet on WWE!?

TBH i already knew there were betting lines for WWE , but I mean, how fucked up must you be to actually lay the juice -1500 on randy orton in a fake fight. It's incredible that some people actually bet on a fake sport. I mean Vince Macmahon is a smart man, he's got to have some sort of agreement (or system) with the books to always make sure they (and himself) are profitable .

And mmaoddsbreaker covering it, makes it even more of a joke. why would they mention that you can bet on these wrestling events, if they're not even actual fights!? Woah!

***edit*** come to think of it, betting wwe is a good idea, I think there may be some value on Punk (-1200), he's a bad stylistic matchup for the other wrestler. and Curtis Axel (+600), who's with me?? LMAFO :icon_lol:

What's worse, if John Cena hadn't formed a secret alliance with the Undertaker to defeat The Rock he would have made a thousand dollars. :icon_lol:

Crazy. I can't figure out whether Miguel was just squashing c-words, or if Firas really ruined him by changing his aggressive style. Either way, it's mad how quickly he's fallen from p4p to undercard WSOF loser. I mean, it happens when guys get older, but normally cuz their chins go, but that's not really the case.

Well it is very uncommon for a fighter to just lose it like Torres has overnight which makes me think he may not have ever as good as we thought. Not to say he was not an excellent fighter but he was not ever a p4p beast as the media and fans believed. looking back in hindsight there are signs of this as he had wars with Takeya Mizugaki & Yoshiro Maeda while only defeating fighters such as Manny Tapia , Charlie Valencia, Chase Beebe, & Jeff Bedard. Incredibly is best win was likely over Mizugaki who'll you'll notice is the only fighter still fighting in the big leagues today. While he didn't have one nice performance vs Mighty Mouse, for the most part, anytime he has had to face the cream of the crop he was blasted out of there -- Bowles, Benavidez, & McDonald. Sadly, I think you know your answer.

Did anyone else notice how mediocre Burkman looked even prior to the triangle? He looked like a good fighter in the first round, but after that, I did not think he looked good. It's almost as if he starts to fade if the opponent starts looking decent. Prior to that fight I would have probably capped Burkman a fav over Fitch now, but I'm not so sure anymore.

Burkman was performing at a level that he had never performed at before and I think that in the second round of that fight Josh Burkman unfortunately remembered that he was indeed Josh Burkman.

curran -300 at best, probably

i think curran is 2nd best 145'er after aldo (maybe tied with mendes). but at some point, straus has to have value. idk when. maybe at +500..

i like the over potentially in that one, depending on if it's 2.5, or 3.5, or 4.5, etc... and price, obv.

as for larken, yea, i think he has a very favorable matchup against camozzi and might be close to even $. and yea, camozzi has never been ko'd. i like larken & decision there
