My theory on why Xenomorphs are so violent...

The amount of food required two of every animal would absolutely capsize an ark, and all the air upon the ark would stink of horrible animal feces and daily life would be like breathing lungfulls of a shitty poison all day until you die of some kind of shit-poisoning.

This. Star Wars was ruined because of this.
It's entirely the fault of the logo fanboys who make every minor/ background character into a thing to be monetized.

The studio can't help but look at all the books and online fanfic and crowded conventions full of painted up lunatics and see dollar signs.

Bro are you high? And how are the bath salts?

Can any of you sherbros photo shop a pic of a Xeno eating the apple in the garden of eden.

Organisms that rely on a host to reproduce and destroy the host in the process would seem doomed to extinction as they eventually run out of hosts.

What if AI is created and immediately goes into hiding on the interwebs. Imagine it already happened.

I was really excited when I read the thread title.

less so after reading the post : (

Actually, quite the opposite.

While on the surface you are right there is a unique element to the Xenomorph, it is compatible with all species life forms, I believe it is the third or fourth movie, it hosts a dog and the Xenomorph is more dog like? It is relentless in that it will find a host and it will continue it's life cycle even if that means laying dormant for thousands of years.

It isn't dead or defeated, it is simply waiting, like a wolf spider waits patiently for its prey, for a living host to entering its atmospheric zone and change it's temperature thus triggering the cycle and thus the horror of this perfect creature begins.

It really is such an amazing and original idea and Alien is truly one of the greatest films ever made, the way it makes you think and question and theory stuff... Wow, that is what story telling is all about.

Also remember the Xenomorph is a specie ending weapon, it's sole purpose is to kill all living organisms, it will never try to survive because it will only ever be the predator until all the prey is dead and its job is done.

I liked it better when it was a mystery and the creature (I'm also in the camp of "xenomorph" being a term, not the name of a species) was a sadistic killing machine.

The original concept of it being cruel and murderous is far more chilling premise than "bugs / they're animals man".

Still not gonna complain, all the movies are awesome by default.

Not to be that guy, but stopped reading as soon as i saw "i believe the bible is true"

Imagine how pissed you would be if your head looked like a giant penis?

Fuck xenomorphs. They weren't even originally called that, it was fan driven.
The films just needed a big, invincible threat (that could be overcome) that was the central conflict of the stories.
Beyond that, like so many things, overthinking it takes the mystery out of it, the unknown is a lot of the appeal.
In truth, xenomorphs are only a threat to unprofessional soldiers in dark corridors with low ammo count.
Can you imagine what a platoon of marines would do to xenomorphs on the open field?
Ultimate weapon? They are little more menacing than pokemons.

We are essentially artificial autonomous intelligence soul/software housed in an extremely advanced piece of bio tech our human body.
Go on. Would enjoy hearing you (or anyone else for that matter) expound more on the soul/software aspect regarding this line of reasoning. Please include links and sources if you must.

Saying it the way you do just doesn't do it justice. So our souls are now software? Please explain.

I thought you were gonna say cuz they're black. But your theory sounds cool too I guess....
