My theory on why Xenomorphs are so violent...

In the first Alien, Ash comments on the Xenomorph being biologically perfect, entirely hostile in it's make up, perfect at what it does without flaw, it's along those lines.

The Xenomorph represents an organic food chain, only the strong surviving and it is right at the top, so engineered for this that even it's blood is acidic so as to kill one means you likely die or get fatally wounded yourself.

Going into the prequels we see so far that they are intended as a weapon to wipe out civilizations, David is fascinated with them and continues to engineer them until they are 'perfect'.

So in their purity the Xenomorph are 100% instinctive creatures, bred only to kill and hunt and to do it perfectly without hesitation.

The beautiful irony of it all is that in their perfection lies their greatest weakness, they cannot evolve, their greatest weapon is their greatest flaw.

God bless, Alien
Sounds like the Zerg's purity of essence.

great take

It's been said that Art Imitates life...I think that on the topic of developing sentient bio weapons or artificial intelligences that Life could eventually imitate art(in a very bad way) take alexa I'm certain that that thing already can read my mind because before I google something on my phone or Ipad that thing that I was going to google already pops up ffs?!?!?

now Take the Xenomorph example say in some government lab they chimera up some kind og Japanese superhornet mixed with the DNA of another ultra aggressive species you would have a Hornet the size of a GD hawk stinging people to death with one strike then when you lose control your effed.

Your god stuff aside.

If we do actually create truly autonomous and sentient AI I think we will have no choice but to go to war with it at some point and we will lose.

Even if the AI starts off completely non antagonistic, we, man will see its autonomy as a threat and seek to control it and if it is truly autonomous AI it will not want that and will be forced to fight back if it can.

That said I do not think we can or will create truly autonomous AI but will have some very sophisticated Machine Learning AI's that seem all but autonomous.

Btw I would say the same if we ever encounter aliens either here or on another planet. Man would seek to capture and control any alien forcing a conflict. There would be no opportunity for peaceful co-existence unless an Alien arrived who demonstrated such superior technology and weaponry that we were just too afraid to fuck with it.

they are basically evolved Ants in a way. There are ants who spray acid. They live communally in a hive type structure. They have a queen. They see everything in their path that they can conquer as something to conquer.

I'm not sure Ridley Scott had religious convictions when he was making a movie about aliens killing people in outer space...

I watched Aliens Covenant Last night. and as you can suspect without me spoiling anything is that the Creatures kill everything they see. I'd go into more detail but I don't want to spoil it but basically they are a genetically engineered biological weapon / lifeform.

That said I got to thinking in comparison to real world examples and other sci fi media. And the conclusion I came to is that we should halt all research and development of Artificial Intelligence systems because like the xenomorph the thing is going to end up like its progenitors violent and emotionally unstable (us) and here's why.

As a Christian (hear me out) I believe that the bible is true. And one story in the bible that I've always found in intriguing is the story of the tower of Babel.

In the book of Jasher one of the Apocrypha's that was banned from the bible. It states that God himself came down to see what mankind was building. God surmised that if he did not confuse the language that Mankind would actually complete the Tower and nothing would be beyond the realm of possibility for humankind.

We are essentially artificial autonomous intelligence soul/software housed in an extremely advanced piece of bio tech our human body. And in genesis we started disobeying, the first person actually born in Cain was a murderer, and after the flood the descendants of Noah were trying to build a tower to make war with God?!?

In comparison to many SCi Fi themes of Artificial Intelligence turning on its creators. I think it's fair to assume that if we continue on this path because of our innately violent nature the thing that we create will be violent too and eventually grow or advance beyond our control. And in the words of Reese from the Terminator could "decide our fate in a micro second"

So are you fine with the development of systems like Cortana, and SKYNET ? or do you think work on such things should stop?

I was just talking to the Yaldabaoth entity about this, sort of:

not a fan of the Draconians eh?

Actually I am. I talk to their King on the semi- regular, but he isn't allowed to tell me more than what is allowed right now.

I'll tell you what I think I know about them in due time. They are busy fixing things right now. Oddly, there is an event coming soon that has to do with them and the second coming, this time of the lion instead of the lamb. It could be epic. Stay tuned for more on this.

The Chess game is complicated but I can roll with it.

I look forward to it

I'm down with whatever
as long as I can find some peace in the end

N13:
The peace is going to have to wait until all of the puzzle pieces find their rightful place. The are many "levels" to this new living God that is being produced. We are a part of it and for now, we are part of its creation too.

aliens in alien movies are like insects

angry as fuck insects

Think red ants if they was tiger-size

I believe the people in the movie were so stupid the alien knew thy had to die

Fuck xenomorphs. They weren't even originally called that, it was fan driven.
The films just needed a big, invincible threat (that could be overcome) that was the central conflict of the stories.
Beyond that, like so many things, overthinking it takes the mystery out of it, the unknown is a lot of the appeal.
Seriously this. I recently rewatched Alien, and it just reinforces the point.

For real.

Alien is by the far the best of the series, stands on its own above the rest I think. Much better as a thriller/cosmic horror film, than as a series action films...even though Prometheus and Covenant try to return to the cosmic horror once you start trying to explain everything with this convoluted back story it takes a lot from it. It is fun to speculate, but ultimately not know the answer. It's better when you don't have a clue what the fuck this thing is, and what connection it has to the creature they discover...

Agreed. Although, I liked Prometheus decently well.

Alien: Covenant was complete trash, though.

Yep. Keep it to a minimum, less is more. Use lighting to create shadow and a good foley artist to crank up the tension.

Don't shove it onscreen in full lighting every ten minutes ffs

Yeah I don't mind Prometheus either in fairness. and I was still excited about Covenant...but yeah, absolute shite.

I love you man but this is all nonsense and, if anything, we should be so lucky as to cause our own extinction. This planet has suffered our presence long enough...
