I had my left shoulder injured about 2 years ago. Therefore I had a layoff. Now for the last year Ive been lifting again , first 4-6 months really going light and trying all movements again, to see if my shoulder can handle it.
After that time I got to good shape and I could do almost all exercises. Now year has passed and I feel absolutely great. Im in the best shape of my life so far, even better than before injury. I even started to do DB benchpress few weeks ago, I havent been doing bench for almost 2 years, and its feeling great, Im slowly progressing.

What bothers me though is this. Ive been doing barbell military press for the last half year maybe. Currently Im doing 50 kg for reps. Today I decided to switch it a little bit and I did DB military press. I did 4 kg, it was ok. Then 7,5 kg ok. 12, 5 kg little more difficult but quite easy too. I could feel like my left arm was little bit weaker.
Then I went to 15 kg DB and since there was only one, I did unilateral sets with that weight. My right arm was very explosive and it felt like a feather. I did it for 5 reps but I could go more. My left arm did 2 reps but it was more difficult than with right arm. And then it was getting harder and harder. I BARELY did 5 reps.
My technique was like the DB was resting on my collarbone/shoulder (like a barbell during military press) and I had neutral grip and when I was going over head I turned it to regular. As I said , with right arm it was perfect but with left arm I felt very weak. I felt like from the moment when my triceps hit paralell with the ground I started to have difficulties to stabilize it from that point on. Also my elbow was going more to the side than I would like to, more than with the right arm.
But during barbell military press everything is fine. I knew my left arm was little bit weaker but it barely showed during barbell military press. Also during DB incline press its ok, I feel left arm tired sooner but its ok. Also when I did this DB military press with both arms it was quite good but just this UNILATERAL showed me how weak my left shoulder is compared to right one. What should I do to strenghten it and get it on par with the right shoulder? Just keep doing this unilateral press and it will improve?

Nobody is perfectly balanced. It's better to be strong and unbalanced than weak and unbalanced. No need to use dumbbells. Stick to the barbell.

Just keep doing your unilateral lift. I used to be the same way where my right arm was significantly stronger than my left arm. Eventually your left shoulder will get stronger and you will be able to military press more weight.

There's no reason you can't do both. Do your military pressing then add in a few sets of DB pressing as an accessory. No need to get complicated with it. The added volume will probably help your barbell military as well.

My press day looks like this:
Military press
DB incline benchpress
Dips
DB lateral raises
Abs

So wouldnt it be too much adding the DB press as another exercise?

You could swap out incline for overhead or you could add it in on a different day
