Social My biggest argument against the English language: Its/It's

Proofs or GTFO!!!

He was a POS. He simply happened to ride the tidal wave of "hindu-self-identity-independence-circumstances". India as of today is a very fucked up, very racist, very backwards-ass society.

Hindutva (gandhi was a fan of its/it's/itz/Etsy/etc founder) is a racist, xenophobic ideology, that has become a nationwide policy in India. Tamils, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, "Seven Sisters' folks", and others are second-class citizens in their native land, thanks in part to gandhi.

Fuck your proofs mf’er, summoning me into some confusion about an apostrophe trying to turn it into some WR/OT thing.

But here is a decent review of it.

He would not be a supporter of what is happening today in India

Tits or tit's? Thats the real question.

@fungi and @Gandhi

Both spitting hot fire and I'm just here...

Imo the I before e thing is worse. Not because i don't know which ones are spelled ei or ie. But because it fucks with my head. Like i know it's believe but I'll swear it should be beleive. Slight dsylexia maybe.
Interesting, do you believe it’s: pheonix or phoenix?

Ever since that dan le sax vs Scroobius Pip song I’m confused.

I'd rather grab on to tits than to "something" of the tit.
Butt, that's me. Yours is up to you.

What if it concerns dying of thirst? Rather have the tits or the milk from the tits? (yes, this is going absolutely nowhere.)

Guess that depends on what kind of thirst we are speaking, lol.

I'm fine with dying while holding onto a pair of tits.

English is super easy to learn and is the only language that should be mandatory in every country on earth besides the local national language.

Greetings, a german.

The apostrophe referers to what is taken out, when you say the tree lost its leaves there is no missing word or contraction thus no apostrophe.

Grammar is not my strong point tho, am I wrong?

I'm bothered by right vs. wrong. Why the hell isn't it write vs. wrong instead? It''''s like we decided to avoid consistency on purpose.

There is the possessive aspect to the apostrophe as well but here's the thing: no one is wrong when it comes to grammar -- it is more like a statement is incorrect. Hence, the worst outcome is misunderstanding. On a fundamental level each of us believes we speak with [some semblance of] truth, if only obvious to ourselves. Grammar is only a means of effectively communicating these truths to one another. Beyond that, grammar might be weaponized by the insecure.

Bullying, whether you are for or against correct grammar, is a [humorous/sadistic] byproduct of what is essentially our own misinterpretation. We didn't quite get what was being offered, so we shit on it and blame the other person for failing at speech. It is more wrong to harp on bad grammar than bad grammar itself is wrong. Because grammar itself is not the point.
