Murad Magomedov

Country - Russia
Weight Class - Bantamweight
Age : Not sure
Promotion - UAE Warriors
Team - Not sure
Record : 13-0

Got to give Murad some shine. He's on the usually failed trajectory of leaving ACA and taking some fights outside to try and get into the UFC but hopefully he's one that gets in. It's tough for someone like him to get fights, so he's having to fight lower level guys, but to be fair he's absolutely crushing them as he should be. Smashed this dude up on the feet and then took a sweet guillotine in transition.

Probably won't get signed to the UFC and will end up back in ACA like everyone else, but we can dream.

Any relation to Magomed Magomedov?

He won the MW belt in his last fight. Had to pull out a hail mary kneebar to get it done though, he's too small for that division.

Yeah, I saw it.

How come he doesn't want to stay at WW? He's been killing it in that division.

Probably thinks it's time to get serious I guess. Maybe he thinks he can be a great WW but can be one of the best in the world at LW.

lol he definitely thought Haratyk was too big for him then.

Dude could be a terror at 155.

155 huh? His striking sure is slow and his gas tank has been routinely bad, he will absolutely shellac a lot of guys in the UFC with his grappling alone but I'm not sure his shortcomings get better by going down in weight, perhaps it maximizes his strengths though.

Well I hope moving to LW doesn't put his potential UFC career on hold. I mean, I have no idea why UFC haven't signed him yet, but moving down from WW might make UFC think to take a few more fights to see if he can adjust to that weight class before signing him. If they ever will, of course.

Daniyar was impressive as hell in his last fight. The commentary was positioning him as "the opponent" so to speak but he ended up making Khamzaev look like the opponent.

Yup, Toychubek's game is incredible for 21 years old. It just feels well developed everywhere along with the athletic talent and the fact that his last 3 opponents were 3-0, 7-0 and 9-0 and their level of competition was good, them all having beaten other undefeated up and comers...I'm super impressed. Asylbek Rustambek is another guy I have my eyes on from Kyrgyzstan at Flyweight, his last scheduled fight with Dzhamaludin Aliev got canceled the day of and I'm not sure why, I assumed Aliev would win because he's...really good with a 12-2 IMMAF record but I was keeping a close eye on it because Rustambek has bricks for fists, strong wrestling and is aggressive. It was at 135lbs too, not sure if Asylbek was moving up or what exactly. Can't really follow fighters from these countries too well sometimes but Asylbek isn't in ACA so he might be able to get signed if he pulls off another couple good wins (and he's been beating solid guys, I think all finishes). As the central asian countries continue to develop in MMA with their own home grown promotions and gyms we are going to see them upset more and more Russians. It's just beginning to really get cooking for them but Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgzstan seem to really love MMA.

@Hellowhosthat and whoever else might be interested, If you haven't seen much tape on Rei Tsuruya, here's some of his bigger wins. Some of it's not the best footage but I've went off of worse.

fight starts at 8:15 his fight vs 18-7 Ueda

His fight vs 8-3 Kenta Kubo

His fight vs 8-4 Satoru Enomoto starts at 8:01

I wouldn't mind seeing that either, I like comparing. Although I keep making more lists and want to update and sever and change lists. It becomes neurotic and as fuck. Really for me, I just use them to see when guys I have interest in have fought to keep up with things and find the videos.
