Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

Got him #7 at Fly at the moment. Very good fighter. I think he sometimes has the tendency to fight to the level of his opponent but he's a very good wrestler and also pretty dynamic on the feet. Definitely UFC level imo.
Recent news - he said that there is news/update about him and UFC but can’t say it and will then post it on Instagram.
Rakhmonov said that he talked with Dana White about Almabaev and Sora Rakhmonova and thinks both will fight in UFC before the end of the year.

Whats the opinion on him?

Apparently, he finished his contract with Brave and is on the UFC radar.

Assu I was thinking he would be great for the next Asia Road to UFC, then I wondered if ufc would consider Kazakhstan part of asia?

"Kazakhstan, officially the Republic of Kazakhstan, is a transcontinental landlocked country located mainly in Central Asia and partly in Eastern Europe."

Any update on maksum?

Costas hype train was incredibly annoying.

People were calling him and I quote "the natty GOAT"

Asu is really good, I was hoping his cornering of Shavkat would lead to a UFC contract. He's the type at 29 years old and 17-2 as a former M-1 and Brave champ, shouldn't get signed to the Contender Series, I think he could jump into the top 10/15 at Flyweight straight away and do well.

Where did you hear he was on the UFC radar and that his Brave contract is up?

Does that mean they will have a Welter Weight tourney this time?
Last season he was on but, do not know why not signed?

Didn't think about him maybe doing a Road to the UFC WW tournament. I just assumed he'd either get signed straight away or be on the contender series. I think the delay in signing him may have had to do with him not having a visa for the US but that's just a hunch, I'm not really sure.

Kabardiev said that regarding visa and Kazakhstani citizenship no news, in Nashe Delo he is gonna fight Bekbulat Magomedov (was in WSOF) in LW Grand Prix final.

Shavkat said that in his opinion Almabaev need one more fight/win to get signed by UFC.

If Asu can get a visa then either a Contender Series fight or an LFA title fight against Bunes would be perfect.

Shavkat originally said one fight in Naiza (too lazy to confirm, but it was either them or Alash or some other promotion from Kazakhstan).
Also I think Asu was in US with Shavkat.

I don't think Naiza will really help unfortunately. He should go with LFA if he can, that's usually a guaranteed route into the UFC if you do well there. Especially as it seems he's training in the USA a fair bit now.
