Is this guy any good? 12-1 but only fight once a year and is about to turn 30.

He's fighting Cody Stamann, tough debut.
Word, I really like
Luan Luiz Lacerda , haven't caught his last couple bouts at LFA (except his last one against
Marciley "Durin" Alves , really good fighter too, who'd bounce back by beating a couple of
Jungle Fight elites) but I've seen him compete at
Jungle Fights a few times, and he's good, but
Cody Stamann in a tough welcome party.
"Spartan" is a former FW, and now he's a big BW who's a 5 years UFC veteran, going 6-4-1 in the process, with good wins over
Tom "Fire Kid" Duquesnoy &
Brian "Kid Lightning" Carraway
(Pokemon logic leads me to believe that his weakness would be a dude nicknamed
"Ice Kid")
Lacerda initially caught my eye in
Jungle Fight because he was one of the
Nova Uniào little dudes; 'member when their were on top of the world, with 2 P4P greats in at the same time, with
Aldo and
Barao... my favorites from that team were
Yan Cabral and
Leo Santos, who sub'd
GSP at
ADCC 2005 and, as a LW decisioned future UFC LHW title contender
Thiago "Marreta" Santos, who'd earn a split decision against Jon Jones... yep, then end of his
UFC run did break me heart.
ANYWAY, Luan Lacerda isn't a spring chicken at 29, but his opponent is a few years old so... the issue is that Spartan is waaay more experimented at the highest level, so... curious to see the odds on that one.
Ya it's safe to say that once someone signs with PFL or ONE, they usually don't leave anytime soon.
Good for those orgs, because with
Jungle Fight & Shooto Brazil, becoming champ means the UFC is coming to poach 'em, sometimes before they even have the opportunity to defend more than 1 or 2 times...
Bruno Fontes
Country - Brazil
Weight Class - Featherweight
Age : 27
Promotion - Jungle Fight
Team - Fighter One
Record : 6-0
Yet another Brazilian Featherweight (do they have a factory down there or something), Fontes looked very good is dispatching of Willian Colorado who was supposed to be on the Contender Series this summer to take the Jungle Fight title. One of those fighters who doesn't seem to be excellent at anything in particular but is just very good at everything. Good solid boxing, good cardio, good composure to not get bothered by any of Colorado's taunting, good defence, good wrestling, good top game, good back takes. Just has something everywhere the fight goes.
Ah yes,
Bruno "Carpa" Fontes has had a crazy 2022;
3 bouts at
Jungle Fight that year, wins the belt in his second, defend his FW title 3 months later
He's not exactly a grampa at 27, but he probably knows that if he wants to try to aim for the top, he can't afforded too many setbacks.
I remember watching his last couple
Jungle Fight bouts with the Sherdog PBP crew, summoned by the dutiful
@Kryptt
and Bruno's fight against
Caique "Mino" Costa was crazy, Fontes almost finished him several times during that 5 rounds fight, but Costa kept coming back for more like a madman...
Fontes got the vacant FW belt, but just 3 months later, he was challenged by the former FW champ
Willian "Colorado" Souza (didn't lose it in a fight, he relinquished the belt to fight at BW and got the belt there) and current Jungle Fight BW champ, to get his FW belt back, because he had too much trouble making weight at BW.
Good stuff as usual, nice thread!
