Do you see anyone who looks good at FAC 12? “The Nelk Boys will come down to Kansas City where this fight is happening, and they will actually pick their own fighter,” said UFC President Dana White. “They’ll sign him, and he’ll be sponsored by Nelk, so it’ll be their guy. Fans can go on The Nelk Boys or UFC social media and tell them who they should pick.”
What is or who are the nelk boys? Am i mis-reading something?

It's a decent card. Josh Fremd is fighting Joel Bauman, Eduardo Dantas is fighting Jose Alday and most of Krause's Glory MMA prospects are fighting.

Dominating bullying performance of up and coming Brazilian performance Mairon Santos on last nights LFA show. Just looked much stronger and more aggressive than his opponent, repeatedly dragging him down and basically beating the shit out of him and dominating every position. I scored the first two rounds as 10-8 before he drowned and finally finished his opponent in the 3rd.

Bartling is really good but there's noone else that I'm mad about. I was hoping for Tommy Peterson.

My guess is Bartling smashes everyone on the show

I think it's alright. It's better than the last one. I'd expect Usman, Bartling, Cole and Heiderman to be in the UFC after this.

I hate the Nelk Boys and Dana’s obsession with them

Our boy Jailton Almeida won his debut! Also Shavkat won so I'm pretty happy. I would have been happy with either Puna or Maximov winning but I'm glad Maximov got it because Puna doesn't use his base as much. Johns lost, thankfully, because he completely left his base and can now bask in the glory of what a good idea that was.

In non-UFC news, Gavin Teasdale won his amateur debut, and Evan Delong won his second amateur fight. Hunter Starner won their little amateur championship so he better move up to Pro MMA now.

A note on Tresean Gore. I think he's a super talented fighter. I think he's much more talented than Bryan Battle. But I picked Battle to win and I was right. I don't think you should be in the UFC after 4 fights. He's clearly so talented but he doesn't know how to throw combinations. His grappling is very elementary. He's inexperienced so he's always waiting to go instead of going first. We complain about Bellator setting up fighters with cans but it takes time to become good at anything. I almost think it's a curse when fighters have so much success in their first couple fights that they somehow convince a UFC scout that they're ready. Because the UFC is very difficult to reenter, less so at a sparse division like heavyweight, but in general. You don't want to take the L. You want to get it right the first time.

There is gonna be a lot off guys getting released from the UFC who where signed with sub 8 bouts soon and they will be nice reclamation projects for some promotions. Not everyone is a Max Holloway and get signed after 4 bouts as a 20 yr old and stick around. Reclamation projects are more common in other sports, where there is a talented guy who just needs a step down or change off scenary. Maybe it's the nature off the sport

Would have hyped Isaac Dulgarian but he got signed, so that'd be cheating, but absolutely scary performance against a good step up in competition. Fremd had a good performance and got signed too so good for him.

I thought this dude might be a bust after he screwed up and got quickly finished by a can last year but he seems to have used the experience to refocus on his wrestling and turned in an excellent performance against lowish level journeyman Zak Bucia. Basically just wrestling and heavy ground and pound throughout the fight, defending subs (although he probably does need to shut those entries down a bit earlier) and pounding away until the ref gave a mercy stoppage. Kind of a bit of a Chael Sonnen like performance.

He might get picked up by the UFC, he's not a lay and pray dude. I think DWCS might be in the offing for him this year
Of course it's in the cards. I just know how Bellator loves their wrestlers and he's got the shiny D1 pedigree. Could be a guy they make a better offer for. He looked good yesterday but Zac Bucia was a lay up so I don't take that much from it. That whole card other then Dantas/Alday was like that. One stepping stone fight after another. Not that everyone passed their test, but definitely the way the card was structured. Basically a favor to James Krause. Not hating on it, but worth noting.

I don't think Krause has taken anybody to Bellator yet that I can think of. Seems to be the UFC for those guys.

I think Krause is involved in the promotion somehow, all FAC cards are full of his guys. Tbf I don't think Dulgarian got a lay up considering his experience but he sure made it look like he did.

I think Krause runs it. I saw promotional material calling it James Krause's FAC. The conflict off interests off having your head coach being the promoter and also your agent is another thing but that's MMA.

Yeah he is. Hence a favor to him.

I had never seen Dulgarian fight before then but I've seen Britton and he definitely strikes me as a guy who they were confident Dulgarian could beat. It's a fair test for a guy of his age and skill level, but not necessarily a great bench mark for how well he'll do against guys in the top 95% of the UFC.
