What the heck? I had no idea he was fighting in LFA. He fights Friday night. Looking forward to it.

12. Luis Elias - 1992 - Peru - Fusion FC - 8-0
He’s a UWC guy. He looks promising, but is a bit older. I’ve been singing his praises for a bit on here. He said he wanted a chance on this season of DWCS. It has to be now for him.

Surprised you didn’t rank anyone from ACA.

Not sure he’s on your radar yet, but Alberth Bahamondes is the 6’2 15 year old little brother of Ignacio Bahamondes from Chile. He’s 4-0 as a pro with all being finishes and just choked out Jhon Grueso who is twice his age.

Also Salah Eddine Hamli who trains at Climent Club with Ilia Topuria looks promising and is going to start facing better opponents soon.

Imanol Rodriguez from Mexico is another prospect worth keeping tabs on. He's still starting out his MMA career, but he's competed in sambo and has pro boxing. He's fighting this week in Fury FC. He is managed by Iridium which means it is expected he will be in Contender Series next year if he keeps his string of wins together.

I'm keeping an eye out for Bahamondes but I'm not listing a 15 year old lol.

I'll keep an eye out for the others.

I class ACA as a major so nobody who's in UFC, PFLator, ACA, KSW, RIZIN or ONE is listed.

No Yryskeldi Duysheev, Shaydullaev or Khalim Nazruloev? Is it because they got picked up by a big promotion or something? They're lots better than a lot of the guys on the list in terms of skills, opponents beaten and youth.

Duysheev and Nazruloev are both doing the ONE Friday Night Fights thing at the moment. If they take a fight outside of that I'll put them on.

Shaydullaev signed with RIZIN, he was number 2 before that I think.

So what's the story with these types of signings, is it that guys from Central Asia can easily get a visa/don't need a visa to go fight in East Asia? Or is the UFC just sleeping on such studs.

I don't think you need a visa for ONE at all, they seem to be able to sign anyone from anywhere with no issues.

Japan I think you do need one but it seems to be a quicker process than the US. It kind of seems that if you're central Asian at this point you almost need to train in the US, fight on one of the fight pass regionals and then get in that way.

Sometimes even that doesn't work as they didn't sign Shinryu even when he was CFFC champ and they haven't signed Bekoev yet even though he's LFA champ.

I'm not too concerned about Shaydullaev going to RIZIN though as out of the other major promotions they seem the only one that lets people go to the UFC.

I don't think anyone wants Bekoev tbf.

Taiyilake won his fight in the first round via Armbar, the kid seems to be destined for UFC sooner or later.

Edit. Video of the fight.

Striking is still very sloppy but he seems pretty strong for the division.

Bashi makes it on Contender Series.

But it's at FW against an undefeated dude that is 5'11. Decent chance that even with a win he doesn't get a contract due to wrestling too much.

Why would he choose to fight at 145lbs? He's not even big for 135lbs...What the fuck?

He's a fucking lunatic I love him. That ground and pound he was dropping was attempted murder.

I want to see them sign him and get him to fight Billy Goff, that would be an absolute car crash.

Couldn't even begin to tell you, hoping it's just a mistake on tapology's part, but idk.

The guy he's fighting was a 3x Montana state champ in highschool and has trained with O'malley and at the Lab a bit. He's also pretty big for 145 so I doubt it's at 135 if true? Maybe the UFC "only had a 145 bout for him" type shit. Still super good. Bashi should be signed straight away anyways, there's only a couple dozen unsigned prospects near his level in the world.

Only reason I see is the turnaround due to the fact he just fought, but still, Hadley showed that missing weight won't cost you a contract if you get a finish so it's better that than taking on a much bigger guy at a weight class you shouldn't be in.

Other guy did take a fight at 135 in his pro debut, and sherdog has him listed at 135 as well, but yeah, damn near 6'0 at 135 is rare even to this day.
