Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

Gonna keep an eye out for Amru Magomedov who's an Abdulmanap/Eagle guy too.

This guy is really impressive, might be the next Eagle to fly the nest and become a champion in a big promotion.

Amru Magomedov

Country - Russia
Weight Class - Lightweight
Age : 23
Promotion - UAE Warriors
Team - Team Abdulmanap
Record : 6-0

Fuuuuuck this dude looked good. He was fighting an 8-0 Brazilian who's beaten solid dudes like John Snake on the Brazilian scene and he absolutely fucking demolished him.

Looks to have the kicking game of Usman and Umar (although he throws the kicks with slightly more intent I feel), together with the trips and the ground and pound smashing of a Khabib or Islam.

Trust me, this dude is a massive problem.

Maurico Alfonso

Country - Venezuela
Weight Class - Bantamweight
Age : 25
Promotion - LUX Fight League
Team - Advance Performance
Record : 6-0

This dude looks really impressive. He has a good wrestling background, but also has big natural power which he seems more keen to use. Loved the way he badly rocked his opponent at the weekend and then just grabbed his head Don Frye/Takayama style and just started hammering him in the face until he was done. Looks a real prospect with power and athleticism. Hopefully fares a bit better than the other latin American power puncher wrestler Alfonso Leyva does when he steps up a bit but looks great for now.

Sanzhar (Sanjar) Zakirov looks to be the real deal from Uzbekistan. Only 20 years old, 4-0 in MMA but has lots of amateur experience and did Sambo along with hand to hand combat competitions as well. Looks athletic, sharp and well rounded. He's spent time in Dagestan training with Eagles MMA too.

Heres him beating a fellow good prospect who was 5-0, he's got another fight coming up vs a 4-1 Kazakh in Naiza. Says he'd liked to to get signed to the UFC soon, kids really good.

Amazing showcase of grappling.

Man, I wish I'd got around to watching Rei. That kid is legit as fuck.

So there is Chechen Fighters group on Telegram, where admin said that 95 % that next Chechen fighter is signed to UFC.
People are guessing that it might be Shaykhaev (previously in comments someone mentioned that both brothers will fight in UFC 1000 % after Ramadan, they are currently training in US), Islam Dulatov or Susurkaev (he is now in US, but I saw also people mentioned that there is rumor that he might fight in August in Bellator).
EDIT: Chechen Sports, not Chechen Fighters.

You mentioned Soldatkin in another thread, what is your opinion on Vertko?
I remember reading few years ago interview with him, had trouble finding fights in Russia so moved to Germany to his relatives.

I doubt it is Dulatov, he made a vlog some days ago where he talk about struggling to find an opponent in Oktagon.
Idk if he can just end his contract like that and sign with the UFC.

I've never seen Vertko, his level of competition isn't the best but he has a good record. I'll have to check him out.

Thanks, wasn't aware that he signed with Oktagon.

That was against my boy Jose Zarauz. He's from the Humberto Bandenay and Enrique Barzola era of Peruvian MMA. I don't think you were prospect tracking, but some 6-7 years ago Zarauz was one of the hot prospects in Peru. I remember him trying to get some fights overseas back then, but it was tough. He kinda has gotten some opportunities, but it hasn't panned out as hoped.
